BIPAP FOR SALE- EXCELLENT CONDITION- RESMED SULLIVAN VPAP II

Post by csessums » Sat Apr 16, 2005 3:33 pm

I have a Bipap that I used for only 90 hours, the machine has 170 hours total. It was $3365 new and I am willing to sell for $1000 OBO including shipping to anywhere in the U.S. It also has a black carry bag that comes with it and the instruction maunual. I also possibly have a Resmed Heated Humidaire to sell as well. The unit works great. I just do not need it anymore since my medical problem has resolved itself. Email me for more info or pictures. Please email me at csessums@airmail.net.

Quiet, Comfortable Bi-level Therapy
ResMed’s SULLIVAN VPAP II (Variable Positive Airway Pressure) delivers ultra-quiet, comfortable bi-level pressure therapy. With smooth pressure transition and a range of operating modes, the VPAP II series is suitable for a range of patients with sleep disordered breathing.

Patient/device synchrony is vital with bi-level therapy. If the device matches the patient’s respiratory cycle, gas exchange is optimized and they will tolerate the device better, resulting in more effective therapy. Mouth leaks can reduce triggering sensitivity so that bi-level devices fail to switch to EPAP pressure when the patient breathes out. Exhaling against IPAP pressure increases work of breathing and can cause fragmented sleep, muscle fatigue and reduced compliance.

ResMed’s VPAP II series has a unique, adjustable maximum IPAP time feature, available in both S and S/T modes. This allows the clinician to adjust each device’s respiratory cycle to closely mimic that of the patient. It also ensures VPAP II will still trigger to EPAP in the presence of a mouth leak. This synchrony between the patient respiratory cycles and VPAP II improves patient tolerance and ensures truly effective bi-level therapy.

Easy To Set Up And Use
Each model in the VPAP II series is designed for ease of use by clinicians and patients. A backlit LCD screen displays patient parameters and allows the clinician to change all therapy settings quickly and easily without an external unit. Built-in security features ensure patients cannot change their therapy settings.

Monitoring Patient Compliance
Patient compliance is the key to ensuring successful therapy. VPAP II systems record compliance data, including actual usage hours at set-pressure, for downloading to a computer for review. Data can also be downloaded via a modem.

The Go-anywhere System
Small - only 142mm high x 240mm wide x 350mm long (5.6” x 9.5” x 13.8”) - and compact, the VPAP II will sit unobtrusively by your patient’s bed. It’s also light - only 3.4kg (7.5lb) - and has a convenient carry handle. Altitude compensation and international power supply means VPAP II can be used almost anywhere in the world without any adjustment. So your patients will never have to go without therapy or restrict their lifestyles.

Modes of Operation
Spontaneous mode

170 machine hours
90 Patient hours

I'm curious, how did your medical condition resolve itself?
Sincerely,

Surgery --- the ultimate cure for any illness --- just cut, cut, and cut.
You will be suffering so much from the surgery, you won't be worried about the original problem anymore

This is a really bad idea to sell your machine.. Someone could buy it and try to use it without proper medical direction and that could lead to some very serious problems. This is a perscription not an "over the counter" medical treatment

Good point, however, I personally find it rather difficult to believe that anyone in their right mind would seriously consider doing this to themselves "just for fun" (even masochists have their limits)

I was so busy trying to figure out how the "Quote" thing works I forgot to put my name on the top. I may sometimes brabble garbage but I am alway willing to admit that I was the one doing the brabbling and am willing to say sorry if I need correcting.....
