unable to log in

Post by glassgal1 » Sat Apr 16, 2005 1:06 pm

Is anyone else having trouble logging in? I don't think that I have changed any settings on my computer, aside from routine updates to my antivirus, os and software firewall?

I used to have to log in twice, and the register icon at the top of the window would change to "log out glassgal". My name would appear as a registered user on the first attempt to log in. Now I cannot log in at all.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help!

Just stay logged in. It is easier that way, unless you have someone on your computer you don't trust.

Log in procedure for me is to initally log in to the site. then login to the forum unless I have been advised of there being a later reply on a string I have contributed too in which case the email link sometimes but not always logs me in fully.

I noticed I have to actually click on the "Log in" icon to successfully login. If I hit return after entering my password the system will not actually log you in even though it acts like it did something.

I too have had to log in at least twice for the system to 'take'.

Thank you all.

I think that I figured it out. I had set the privacy settings on Internet Explorer higher after sanitizing my computer (again !) and finding a lot of tracking cookies and spyware. I am able to log in again after reducing the privacy settings to medium from medium high.

I have always had to log in twice to get to the mail box and get the "log out [glassgal]" icon at the top.

I guess that the OSA memory loss got me for a moment there!

Thanks again,

Sleep well,

Jane
