Quattro Mask

Post by diesel25 » Wed Aug 08, 2007 12:51 pm

I have the Resmed S8 Autoset Vantage with H3i humid.. And the Quattro mask.. I am not using the machine like I would like.. They also diagnosed me with RLS... Problem that I am having is with the Quattro mask.. It is so large and obstructive, I find it hard to lay on my side.. My doctor whom prescribed me this machine stated that I should use this mask because I have had my nose broken before.. I have a friend who is using the nasal pillow and he loves it. He said that he has had his nose broken too before and it works fine. What do you guys suggest?!?1 Also with that RLS.. I was prescribed requip.. When I was on the trial pack of the stuff, the next day I felt like I had been drinking the night before.. It seems like it was over powering... Any clues?!?!

I'm a side sleeper also. If you continue with the Quattro, I would recommend a cpapillow (not sure about the spelling, but you can find it at our hosts store). I also use one of the memory foam type pillows as well. IMO both work well.

Good luck

i love my quattro. i use a travel pillow (the one that fits around your neck) for plane travel.. the pillow kind (not inflatable or squishy. its a great alternative to the expnsive cpap pillow things

try a new mask if you need to. i found one in 3 trys, my dad found his in 1 try. try something new.. thats what you a dme for anyway

Had my nose broken in high school football many years ago (they DID put it back in place) and use both the Quattro and Ultra Mirage Full Face with no problems.....I'm also a side-sleeper and use a water-based pillow.
