Remstar Bi-Pap Auto vs. M-series Bi-Pap Auto

Post by hrc54 » Wed Jul 18, 2007 4:20 pm

Hi-

I was told by a sleep doctor just yesterday that he favors the M-Series Auto as an Auto over the Remstar Bi-pap Auto. He feels the M-series Auto has a superior algorithm in detecting apneas. I went through the clinician menu with him on my Remstar Bi-pap Auto. He was confused when I explained to him that you choose BOTH IPAP AND EPAP parameters. I was led to believe that with the M-series you choose just the EPAP and the maximim pressure support. Is this true?

Any thoughts?

Thanks- Bob
