Difference Between Flow Limitations and Hypops
Can someone define what flow limitation is as it relates to the Resmed machine? My AHI was 2.8 last night and AI was 0.0. This looks good to me but I am just wondering about hypopneas. I saw in another thread that the Resmed machine really does not recognize hypopneas. I am so confused. I thought hy...

Re: Cpap and women
I read recently that it is almost a 50/50 split between males and females now. The whole problem with females getting diagnosed properly is that we do not fit the stereotype. This must change!

Well, that is some good information to know. Also this looks like a fantastic book. Do you have it?

Re: Interpreting My Report--Snoredog or Slinky--or anyone else..
Snoredog: It is interesting what you said about the EPR. If it does in fact work similar to an APAP in perhaps not addressing every apnea I think I would be better off with the EPR off. I honestly cannot tell the difference anyway. In fact when I initially started out with the EPR at 3 I felt like I...

Re: Interpreting My Report--Snoredog or Slinky--or anyone else..
Snoredog. . .thanks for your feedback. At this point, I think I will chart my pressure and AHI as you suggested. I have gone back to August 3 and have already charted this. I took my pressure up to 13.2 on August 5 and my AI doubled. I am going to keep an eye on it. I also turned the EPR on around t...

Re: Question on Resmed S8 Elite II
[quote="2paps"]Their Final Answer: ResMed now says that the S8 Elite II is not meant to not show a pressure reading in the daily Efficacy Data! How this is an improvement over the S8 Elite, i don't know. Machine is on its way back to us. Funny that 3 different techs said it was a problem before. If ...

Help!!!
I am trying to post my sleep report from last night so I can get someone to help me interpret it. I however have done everything I can think of to copy and paste my report into this forum. Are there any really smart people out there who can tell me how to go about doing this? The report is from the ...

Anna: I have the Resmed S8 Elite II . The pressure still is showing up as "no data" when I go into the LCD screen. Also, apparently the software for the Elite II is versions 3.5 which is not available to patients yet. Resmed is supposed to be getting back to me on why the pressure data is not showin...

According to my husband and also my sleep study I do not snore a lot. That is one reason I went undiagnosed for so long. I think there is a misconception by the medical community that if you do not snore loudly and frequently then you probably do not have sleep apenea. I would love for someone to do...

Okay, so after making all of the changes that Resmed suggested yesterday, I still go the "no data" comment on pressure when I look at the LCD screen. I do not know if my machine is just not functioning properly or if this is just a glitch that Resmed either is not aware of or has not worked out. I a...
