Veterans needed!

I thought I'd bring this thread back to the forefront in hopes of getting some answers from the CPAP Veterans. How long was it before you felt consistently better? How long was it before you noticed a significant change in secondary complications from sleep apnea, including memory, depression, adren...

Congratulations! It feels great to actually make it through the night with the mask on! My thoughts are that it takes a while to recover from what can often be a lifetime of sleep deprivation so that could be it. It could also be that you are having a disturbed sleep as you get used to the mask so t...

I use polygrip strips to keep my mouth shut, they go on your lips, to 'seal' them together so unless you have lip hair I don't think it would be a problem. They also come apart and reseal very nicely.

I am far from an expert on this tear duct thing - it only suspected right now (waiting for my doctor appt.) I agree with the others - it could be allergies. Regardless though, it worth mentioning to your doctor or get a referral for an eye doctor - that way they can get to the heart of the problem, ...

No, I'm not kidding. You can do a search if you want to know more about it - others are better at explaining it then me. It is unusual and I don't have it happen every night, So don't worry about it. If you should get red eyes without a leak, then you can consider it an issue.

It could be that as you get used to therapy you are getting less 'quality' sleep then you had before. I'd give it a little longer, keep a note pad with you and write down the things you need to remember as well as put notes up in places you'll see to help with things like the dog food. If it doesn't...

Wow Josh. I admire your fortitude. I am glad you notice a difference with CPAP, even if it hasn't solved all your sleep issues. I sincerely hope you get some answers soon. I have structured my life around getting sleep, it is high among my priorities. I don't stay up late for anything, arrange appoi...

Glad to see there are others like me I have tried the full face mask but couldn't get it to not leak. I had the same issue with the regular nasal masks. They all leak into my left eye - I tried all the fixes and nothing worked. That is what led me to give up last time (2 years ago) and led me to the...

Crying and CPAP don't mix

So I watched the movie Click last night and had a good cry. I made sure to give my nose a good blow before setting myself up for the night. I still felt a bit of congestion in one sinus - but it was from crying so I figured the pressure from the machine would clear it up. My mistake. Before long wit...

Power packs are a battery/inverter combo that make it so you can actually plug a regular plug in, as it converts the DC to AC. It also plugs in to recharge. I included a link at the bottom. I noticed that the battery mention was a 35 AH - is that what is necessary to run CPAP? We were trying to figu...

I share all of sharon's symptoms along with a few more... I wonder what it will feel like not to feel so "spacey."
