What great suggestions thank you! I agree about the nasal steroids, I really don't like the idea of using them unless I have to, and I don't think that's where I am at. I may set it to strait 7, I just thought Id dry gradually reducing the max. pressure incase I find a setting on the way that works ...

what Sleep Doc said about Aerophagia

Well, I am now compliant and have been for most of April and so far in May. The few exceptions have been from Aerophagia. My theory is that the air builds up until there are 'air sandwiches' in my intestines and there is no room left - happens about day 4 and lasts a day or two until more room is av...

Could you be pregnant?

I get even more tired at certain times in my cycle, rainy weather (sun boosts serotonin), low B-12, stress....

Hope you have a refreshing sleep tonight!

I just read that thread and was very dissapointed by what I read. This product has helped many people become compliant. In addition, essential oils have been used for hundreds and hundreds of years - they are not new to the medical industry. I have nothing but respect for Bret for having taken it te...

It's very common to experience that feeling when you are first on the machine. It takes time and patience. Try the above suggestion and let yourself get used to it. If it is not already, try turning your C-flex setting up to 3 and see if it is any better. There is so much info on this site, click on...

I use polygrip strips. I get my lips wet, wet the strip and place in the center back of my upper lip, then close my mouth - voila! the nice thing about them is that they are strong enough to keep your lips from relaxing open, but allow you to open your mouth when you are awake to take a drink of wat...

Perhaps you can try and private message SleepGuy - Bret from pur-sleep and ask. Perhaps since it is not the actual diffuser, which is in testing to upgrade it's certification, he may be willing to sell some, or suggest an alternative. It's worth a try anyway.

I would like to reiterate what catnaper said, it could be air coming out of your tear ducts that is causing the tearing. You can pick up some eye drops that will help protect your eye until you see the doctor, but do go get it checked.

If you are thinking about HRT, you might want to see if she/he does bioidentical hrt. The difference is that you can be put on very low doses, much lower than the regular pills. There are a few other differences, too. Thanks, I will mention that to my Doctor if she thinks HRT will be helpful. I ima...

I am planning on talking to my doc about this and seeing if there is anything we can do about it. If one considers how apnea can screw up ...

Estrogen and apnea

I have noticed an increase in my AHI the week before menstruation and was wondering if there was indeed a correlation. I googled it and found that there are several studies showing that low levels of estrogen can indeed aggravate apnea - one reason why men and post-menopausal women are more suscepti...
