Re: apnea - just diagnosed - effect on marriage
Something that I forgot to say in my last post here is that now when we have people come over, Marina has me show the machine and masks off to our friends. She is proud that I have this "other" woman.

Re: apnea - just diagnosed - effect on marriage
Hi cpap_newbie_24, I think that I can relate to this very well. The first time my wife and really slept together in the same bed for any period of time, was when I visited her in Russia. I love to cuddle with my wife when we go to bed and I never heard a peep out of her... Until It was 2 days before...

The SleepyHead software does all of that for you if I remember right.CpapWife wrote:Ok, I really wish the machine itself would say the daily numbers and the last week average numbers and the last month average numbers so I could compare all three numbers at a glance, but neither of them do that.

Re: What's the best CPAP machine?
A DME (Lincare) told us that they only do respironics as it has a removable water tank, is better built - the resmed has some plastic parts like the tubing between the water tank and the machine that tends to break, and the support staff at respironics is outstanding. Well, I know that both types o...

Re: BIRTHDAY LIST
There is a saying that I like. It goes something like:
You're only as old as you feel... Or as old as the one you're feeling.

O/T: Spam
Is it me, or has the amount of spam picked up here. The past two days I've gotten rid of at least 6 different ones. I know that someone else had deleted one as I was about to as well.
Besides, if they are goona spam us, where are the eggs?

Re: Ceiling of air for CPAP
I'm glad that I could help. I'm still learning and tweaking here. Have/had some bad leaks that I'm still trying to get under control.
I don't know much, but if I can help, I will.

Re: Ceiling of air for CPAP
As I have low AHI, and my problem is controlling the length of Apneas...is there a way on the SW to read the length. I cant see one? If you look on the left hand side of SH, you'll see the calendar, just under that are 4 tabs (Details, Events, Notes, Bookmarks). Click on the Events tab and that wil...

Re: Just received my bill for my overnight sleep test
I wonder what you think of the quality of military medical care? Can you fill us in on that? Just like any health care, it can be good and bad. Sometimes the hoops that I have to go through to get something corrected. A good example of this is an eye exam I had last year. Or rather getting my new g...

We're here to help, support, annoy, and maybe even push, pull and prod each other to that we feel better.
Glad that I could help in some small way.

Re: Airline Regulations FYI
Have you every had to use it? It seems CPAP machines have become "Ho-hum" for security personnel. There are so many being carried onto flights for so long that they have just become another item to screen. The same also for airline personnel including flight attendants. They expect to have several ...

Re: NOSE STRIPS ALTERNATIVE
Looks like someone took the nose holders off a set of eyeglasses and stuck them on to some metal frame. I could be wrong, but it doesn't look like it would last long.
