Re: DeVilbiss Intellipap questions

I'm thinking it's the humidifier... I don't use it, as I'm basically low maintenance and figure I can get away with washing stuff less, if I stick with dry air . I had a hunch that the high pitch might have to do with whistling through the empty tank. I removed it entirely last night and for the ent...

Re: DeVilbiss Intellipap questions

There is no way I see to cut and paste. I commend DeVilbiss for having them available online in the first place. Theoretically, one can get sufficient information without additional software, and to me, that is a huge step in the way to patients being informed of their own treatment. I agree, and a...

Re: DeVilbiss Intellipap questions

Hi, I just upgraded to IntelliPAP AutoAdjust and so far it's *great*, but I too have a couple questions: 1. The web reports are great, and I love *not* requiring Windows Software as I'm a Linux Geek (and the more reasons *not* to fire up Virtual Machines running Windows the better , but I can tell r...

Does this (or any hybrid) seal properly with facial hair?

Hi,

I'm contemplating a hybrid (I currently use nasal pillows with a taped mouth), but it occurred to me it doesn't look like I could get any kind of seal with a beard and moustache.

Am I right? Should I not even bother?

3M Healthcare Waterproof tape worked!

Since you use a nasal mask mouth breathing is a no-no. You lose all the pressure out your mouth when you mouth breathe. Try taping your mouth shut or try a full face mask. Brenda Thanks for the advice, Brenda! I purposely avoided full face mask (just didn't think I could deal with it...claustrophob...

Can *any* data be retrieved from an F&P HC233?

Hi, My treatment's less than a week old, and I *think* I'm getting the hang of things, but I've woken up a few times with what I believe are "Mouth Leaks" but don't know if it's affecting things. I got to thinking it sure would be nice to get some information out of this machine (like AHI, Num Leaks...

Hard to exhale...then easy

Hi, I'm brand new at this. Just finished my second night. I've an F&P HCA233 set to 10cm and a Breeze Nasal Pillows. I was told my AHI is 53, so I'm taking this VERY seriously. I found for the second straight night that when I start off (e.g. 11pm-2am), exhaling seems very difficult...Like, I'm tryi...
