I’ll settle the debate on AHI for UARS folks
The reason why UARS folks feel worse with with an AHI of 1 or under on CPAP is because they’re in lighter sleep. With a higher AHI, they feel better and that’s because they’re getting deeper sleep.

Re: More relaxed, lower AHI but feel more tired
I don't know what's going on, but I have two suggestions. One is to post a typical chart for a relaxed, low-AHI, tired-the-next day night and a typical chart for a non-relaxed, higher-AHI, less-tired-the-next-day chart. The other is to keep notes for a few weeks about how you feel during the day an...

More relaxed, lower AHI but feel more tired
My life with CPAP has been a conundrum. I realize I might have comorbid CFS and that my sleep quality issues might not be solely attributed to CPAP. But here’s what happened last night and happens on nights when I’m fully relaxed: I listened to some meditation music for a full hour before bed last n...

Epiglottic collapse on CPAP
Does anyone definitively know if there is an objective way to tell if collapse of the epiglottis is interfering with CPAP treatment, making CPAP not fully effective? Would there be any clues regarding breathing waveforms or AHI, for example?
(My past DISE revealed collapse of the epiglottis.)

Re: Help analyzing Oscar waveforms
Join SleepHQ (free), upload your SD card there, and share a night here. You might also consider getting an O2 monitor, I use O2Ring, works for me.... poor oxygen will explain your bad feeling. Okay, thank you for the tips and info. Much appreciated. Here's a crappy night... before bi-level: https:/...

Re: Help analyzing Oscar waveforms
The Oscar you posted was zoomed in to a period where you're just having average breathing... we don't get much more than that. You have periods of Hypopnea... we don't get to see those zoomed in... we don't know if there are other graphs to look at. SleepHQ lets you share a night where the viewers ...

Re: Help analyzing Oscar waveforms
But my waveforms look so odd and I feel like hell, so shouldn’t that mean something? I thought that normal flow is supposed to look like a rounded hill.

Oh, okay. I thought they were supposed to look well-rounded? These look like jagged, like the letter R.
