How to improve?

Post by TruckedInTheFace » Sat Apr 13, 2024 6:52 pm

Hiya :)

What would you change to improve?
Somehow I still feel so tired, not sure what to do.
(the time is off on the screenshots, didn't noticed before, sorry)

Ook! (thank you for showing how to add images!)
how long have you been on the machine?
Sorry if I left out details, not sure what is important and what is so normal it happens to everyone.
A few months of fighting so far. Doctors, DME (local version of them), they first gave me a nasal (pillow?) mask, but all the air escaped by the mouth, so now with a full face mask, like in the alien movie :D
the hospital set the pressure 5-20, AHI was 10, I could not sleep with it, but the doctor says it is good enough (without cpap at 86 AHI).. But thanks to this forum I understand a little bit now, and increased the pressure every week. But hypopnea will not go away, snore will not go away, central stay the same.
But now already at pressure 14, not sure if it is safe to increase more?
Maybe add helium, it will be like a balloon :D

It's actually not bad looking... some desats... would like to see the O2 graphs. You don't have much FL's going on... your pressure spikes up, but it doesn't flat-top... more pressure is not going to help you here... in fact, less pressure might be good for those CA's.

SleepHQ is free for one machine (I pay so I can put my O2Ring in). If you upload to SHQ we can zoom in on your graphs and get an idea what your breaths look like during your events. Here's a recent night of mine, some leaking going on:
https://sleephq.com/public/0887426a-439 ... 5f9fc6c538

I'm feeling like you're over-treated and you could bring that min pressure down from 14 to 12 or even 11... your call. Increasing your max above 16 won't change anything I see in the two nights posted.

In case you sleep mostly on your back (though your hypopnea result isn't especially high) you might want to try side sleeping for a few nites to see if there's any change.

Thank you for taking the time to look at the data. I will upload zooms and O2 also.

Why overtreated?
If I put the pressure down, events go up. First hypopnea, then obstructive.

If it is important, I don't see it on the screenshots, but it is with "soft" algorithm. With the normal algorithm pressure changes all the time like a saw.

Thank you for the advice.

I think I turn all night, like a kebab :D
