Re: challenging the diagnosis of sleep apnea

I have insomnia besides the diagnosed apnea. Hard to fall asleep, and I wake up because of that regardless of apnea. Meditation, which helps somewhat (I am just in the initial phase of learning how to do that), You talk about meditation but you don't mention sleep hygiene. Do you know what good sle...

The summary mentions itching, burning, stinging - no mention of dry eye.

It also infers the problem is only with untreated OSA>

Don't they just get FFMs and some even start taping their lips? I don't think they worry with chinstraps too long.

How to not wake up choking? Cheap and easy -> http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/3113Z71CQTL._SL500_AA300_.jpg I paid about $10. It works. Has awakened me once since I got it and it was worth it. http://www.amazon.com/Reliance-Controls-THP207-Plug-In-Flashlight/dp/B000IF8QDK/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8...

Re: New Pressure After Surgery?

Many insurance policies pay for a new machine every five years. Call them and ask. Find out if they require a new sleep study to get a new machine.

Of course if you get a machine make sure it is "full data". Forum members can help.

I like the term 'nosebuds'. It sounds so cuddly. Yes, I like it better than "nasal pillow". "Earbuds" stuck really quick and nosebuds look a bit like earbuds and are just as personal. Re: OSA and mental illness, anyone else? Lets exchange tips!

I was just wanting to know if there is anyone else on this forum that suffers from comorbid mental illness along with the OSA? The traditional definition of comorbid means the condition exists independently from the first condition. From what I have read depression is often caused by OSA. So it is ...

Proof of what?

You have used it for 7 days (nights?) and still haven't had a good night's sleep?

7 days without CPAP and I would probably have a stroke or a heart attack.
