Re: Dry mouth, throat, nasal passages

Well, I don't know what caused the issue but it hasn't happened again

Re: Dry mouth, throat, nasal passages

I've had this ResMed Airsense 10 for 4 years. (I've had 5 or 6 different machines in 19 years). I use the DreamWisp nasal mask. It's basically the same style I've always used. No new meds or routines. Humidity is a bit higher due to the rains. I haven't needed the Polident tape since I first started...

Dry mouth, throat, nasal passages

This is happening every few nights. I've consistently used a cpap for over 19 years now and never experienced this until the past few months. Every few nights, I wake up after several hours of sleep and my tongue is stuck to the back of my teeth, my lips are sealed, my throat and and nasal passages ...

Question on SD card

My old CPAP (about a year old) has a SD card as well as my new Resmed S9 Escape. Is there anyway to access the card at home or can only the sleep dr download it?

I put the old SD card into my computer, but it wouldn't read it. I just got the new one today, so I haven't tried.

CPAP repairs

I have a 6 yr old REMstart that has developed a high pitched squeal. My husband took it in and they told him that it was a bearing going out and couldn't be repaired. My ins paid for a new one, but I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not it could be repaired. I would love to have a spare so th...

Re: Drowning

I'm in SoCal, the weather hasn't been that cold at night. We've had much colder weather and it didn't happen. Last week, I was in a hotel room with my sister and she had the heater up so high I couldn't sleep, still did it. I'm pouring out a good ounce, to maybe an ounce and a half. It happens even ...

Drowning

I've been waking up to a gurgling sound and I have to get up, pour water out of the hose and mask, and take my mask apart and dry it out. It doesn't matter if I have the humidifier on 1 or completely off. This just started a couple of weeks ago. I've been using my cpap for over 4 yrs now, never had ...

cpap leaking water

I have a REMstar M series cpap, used it for 4 years now. I've rarely used the humidifier, but just started using it this past weekend due to some dry coughing issues. In the morning, my shelf is covered in water, quite a bit. I've checked the reservoir and it doesn't leak. The gaskets on the reservo...

I snore with my mouth closed, also while sitting up.

I never thought about using a portable cpap. I will check with Continental.

flying

I am sure this sounds silly, but..........I am flying cross country next month, at night. My snoring is so loud without my cpap, that it can be heard upstairs when I am downstairs, and vice versa. I am really concerned about falling asleep and disturbing the entire plane. I am flying from midnight t...

I have a deviated septum and enlarged turbinates that make it difficult to breathe out of the left side of my nose, add chronic sinusitis and a narrow throat to the mix. I have been using rhinocort for a week now, it really helped with the congestion. On Thursday, the dr is going to burn the inside ...

On second thought, maybe I'll just learn to breathe out of one side of my nose.

I will definitely go read it. I saw the ENT last week, he said I had a deviated septum and enlarged turbinates. Waiting for ins to auth surgery.
