Why does heated tubing only come in 6+ ft lengths?

Wondering why heated tubing only comes in 6 ft+ lengths? Is there some technical limitation that it can't be made shorter than that?

Because there's no significant market for anything shorter.

No market for it. Get a hose hanger if it is to long and it will keep it out of your way.

And if yor are on a resmed using climateline tubing and thinking about shortening it yourself, it can't be done that I know of. Along with the nicron heating wire in the tube there is a temp and humidity sensor built at the end sticking out into the airway. So that would have to be reconnected right.

A hose hanger picks up the excess into a loop--up and out of the way.
A good rig will allow you to move around and roll over in bed.

I use one of these with commander tape to hold it up when I am done for the day. Keeps it out of the way of making the bed and will also let the hose dry out if the 30 minute post use fan doesn't do it.
