Moved to new orleans - DME recs?
I moved from Albuquerque to New Orleans. My dme in NM does not ship to Louisiana. I have United healthcare. Anyone have recommendations for what supply company I should use here? Will I be required to go see a local doctor before having my supplies replenished?
Lastly, I use the air touch f20. Might want to try out new masks. Any recommendations for masks I should try out?

Find out which DMEs are in your insurance network.
No, but you will need to give the DME a prescription and probably proof of compliance.

United seems to have a ton of national ones to choose from, including apria. I prefer the ones that you set it and forget it and they just ship supplies and charge the insurance. I was spoked by the one in New Mexico bc they were great - hoping to find another good one that serves New Orleans.

As mentioned forget Apria or any that begin with "A". Also mentioned was to speak directly with your insurance to find out who is in network for that area. Bring back a name here for more feedback.Juanefny wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2024 6:50 amI moved from Albuquerque to New Orleans. My dme in NM does not ship to Louisiana. I have United healthcare. Have the new (or old) doc write "Mask of Patients choice" and Cpap of your choice if you are comfortable with that. Hopefully you have copies of your scripts AND the sleep study. If not work on getting copies.
IF you are open to mail order supplies and they are in network for you - two that are often mentioned here are Verus Healthcare and Aeroflow Sleep.

I prefer mail order supplies. Aeroflow healthcare shows up on the list of approved DMEs. When I click on it it takes me to their breast pump division. But this is promising. I’ll call them tomorrow to confirm if they are in network. Thanks for your help!SleepGeek wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 8:24 pmAs mentioned forget Apria or any that begin with "A". This was super helpful! I reached out to the old doctor and I was able to get my script. It was still good enough for Aeroflow. They are in network for my insurance. Supplies order placed. So far I really enjoyed my interaction with them.SleepGeek wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 8:24 pmAs mentioned forget Apria or any that begin with "A".
