Re: Looking for recommendations for travel backup battery
Have not actually used this one one a plane but I think I've carried it on, the predecessor "V1" once or twice which I also had. Allows me to have a battery with me wherever I might need to run the machine. It's 99.9 Wh for carry on and it fits in a pocket of the bag with the Airsense 10. Auto adjus...

Re: How do you calculate CPAP energy costs?
In the interest of science I did break out the old Kill-A-Watt. Airsense 10 machine, during the ~7 hours I slept, used about 80 WH total. Humidifier on set to 3 or 4. Comes to less than $6/year at my regular rate. Add on the non-sleeping "vampire" power consumption and I may be approaching $10/year?...

Re: How do you calculate CPAP energy costs?
Aside from "why not", estimating needs for a back-up power source would be a good reason I suppose.

Re: How do you calculate CPAP energy costs?
I'm trying to calculate how much of my energy bill is due to my resmed. It's plugged in all the time. Is there a formula folks use? Get yourself a kill-a-watt device and measure it for a week. Multiply by 52. Should get you a decent estimate for annual electrical consumption. Then you can move on t...

Re: Extension cords
After reading this board for a while I added an extension cord to my travel kit items. Pretty sure I've plugged into one of those outlet on the base of the lamp things a time or two. And the occasional extension cord already in place in a guest room, when visiting somewhere and didn't want to move f...

Re: Newbie here – I have a question - How do you know for sure that you went to sleep.
Just so I'm not misunderstanding you, your experience is a slow respiration rate while awake, but a higher respiration rate when (you believe) you are asleep. Is that correct. (BTW, it goes without saying that the "asleep" rate is steady , but what you are saying is that your rate increases in a wa...

Re: Newbie here – I have a question - How do you know for sure that you went to sleep.
Respiration rate. When you're actually sleeping it will be steadily and notably higher than when awake. I find that a suitable replacement for the EEG machine we don't typically have at our disposal :) Mine goes from perhaps 10 to like 16-20 when asleep. Interesting concept, what would you make of ...

Re: Newbie here – I have a question - How do you know for sure that you went to sleep.
Hi every one , new member here . So here’s my question , how do others here with sleep apnea track and confirm when you actually were asleep , not just you had a feeling like you went to sleep or you thought you may have fallen to sleep , but that in fact you did actually go to asleep while using y...

Re: OT - Could someone please buy me a nap box?
Funny they had some of these little office pods in my old office, expensive little suckers I heard thru the grapevine. Not configured for sleeping, glass on two sides. No outlets or anything in them. I think they were largely unused due the stupidity of having to have them in an office in the first ...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset unexpectedly loses power
Couple more thoughts here, do you have Oscar? Is there any clue in the data, like it only dies when the pressure is maxing out, or heading in that direction? dunno if you can get data right up to the time of it shutting down but could be a clue there. Also the humidifier heat - any difference with i...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset unexpectedly loses power
Sounds like a component overheating maybe? Don't know if there's any known issues with any specific components or anything, but that's kind of what it sounds like to me. I've had this problem with a few hard drives over the years and once successfully used the freezer trick to pull data off an overh...

Re: Moved wing in hospital, transported cpap by staff
One time I was kept for observation & I brought a machine with me but they wouldn't allow me to use it since they had no "environmental specialist" to certify it for use in their facility. They had one of theirs ready to go. Used my mask, no one cared about that I guess. See if they can provide a ma...

Wellue O2Ring screen is dying
Noticed recently the screen on this thing is getting super dim. It gets light/moderate use. I tried changing the display brightness via the app, no change. Also the factory reset, and also no change. This particular one is two years + a few months old, well past the 1 year warranty. Disappointing fo...
