Re: Fixing (CPAP-induced?) central apneas
Thank you again for all of the advice and guidance! It's reassuring to have one less thing to "solve". I think I'll refocus on getting good rests/sleeping through the night with the CPAP, and then look into the leaks more once I've got things stabilized a bit more.

Re: Fixing (CPAP-induced?) central apneas
Your leak line is a bit ugly but it isn't so bad that it is "clouding" your data results. If you were sleeping soundly and feeling great I would tell you to just ignore the ugly because the prettiest of leak lines don't guarantee that we are getting "perfect" therapy or feel like superman/woman. Wh...

Re: Fixing (CPAP-induced?) central apneas
My sleep quality was improving as I became more accustomed to my CPAP. It's been worse lately as I've been experimenting with various mouth tapes and chin straps to try to get the leaks under control (I've been waking up in the night and subconsciously ripping off the tape, etc). The leaks themselve...

Fixing (CPAP-induced?) central apneas
Hi all, I've been on a CPAP for about 2-3 months on and off. I'm still fine tuning the settings but have finally gotten used to it/got the settings right to the point where I can generally sleep through the night with the mask on. AirSense 10 CPAP P10 Nasal Pillows Pressure range 6-10.4 Ramp on EPR ...

Re: Help Interpreting OSCAR Data!
Hi all, It's been a while, but I thought I'd post a quick update and ask for further opinions and advice. I spent a bit of time struggling with getting the right settings to let me fall asleep with the CPAP and not wake up at night with feelings of breathlessness, etc. I believe I've found the right...

Re: Help Interpreting OSCAR Data!
Look at those "ski jumps" in your flow, at the way flow limitations appear and push the pressure up once the machine lets you go down to your minimum. Thanks for the suggestion. Would you mind expanding on the above explanation of what is happening? The terminology is all new to me and I don't quit...

Re: Help Interpreting OSCAR Data!
Quick update - I tried the suggestions you both made and the breathlessness has improved significantly. I'm slowly adapting to the CPAP in general. Here are a couple recent nights of OSCAR data: https://ibb.co/q1zdqjF https://ibb.co/JB64jQ9 The leaks are likely due to a combination of my mouth falli...

Re: Help Interpreting OSCAR Data!
Thanks for the advice again. I've tried a couple more nights now with some updated settings (6-12 pressure range and EPR = 2). Used the nasal pillows and a sleep medication both nights (will stop the sleep med once I'm more acclimatized to the CPAP). https://ibb.co/VDKT0Xq https://ibb.co/rfHRMPh The...

Re: Help Interpreting OSCAR Data!
You don't say which image, if any, is with the medication. The first linked image (Dec 31) is the night that I took the medication. When you write "unable to breathe" do you mean can't inhale or can't exhale. Probably that I couldn't inhale. It's hard to say for sure, because the feeling of breathl...

Help Interpreting OSCAR Data!
Hi everyone, Brand new CPAP user here! I was diagnosed with mild OSA with an AHI score of 10. I did a CPAP trial with an AirSense 10 AutoSet, ClimateLine tubing and P10 nasal pillows, EPR at 3 and ramp on. Attached are some of the "good" nights I had with my CPAP trial - the Dec 31 data being the be...

Re: First-time CPAP Machine Help (Newly Diagnosed OSA)!
Thanks for the information, everyone! A few follow-up questions/notes I had: 1) Is the MyAir app no longer compatible with the AS10? A planned obsolescence kind of thing? 2) I'm in Canada and paying out of pocket for the machine, so I have no insurance rules to follow. It sounds like I could just ge...

First-time CPAP Machine Help (Newly Diagnosed OSA)!
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed last week with a mild OSA(AHI score of 10). I decided to go ahead and try a CPAP machine (based on my symptoms and on the encouraging info I received from similar individuals in my situation). The sleep clinic that did my study is offering an AirSense 11 for $1800 USD. I...
