Re: Distilled water
May I ask why you don't use tap when traveling? Sure, ask away. My travel Z1 does not have any way to add water. They suggest using an HME, but then state a short hose between the mask and HME will nullify any effect. I use a Swift FX which has such a hose. I like to travel light, so the Z1 wins ov...

Re: Distilled water
Will you be drinking tap water where you are going? If buying bottled water anyway for ingestion, I would use that.
For what it's worth, I use tap water at home and go dry when traveling with my Z1.

Re: Oral device/mouthpiece and jaw ache
Confirmed. Oral appliances made my TMJ pain and jaw allignment worse. Thinner and less forward versions were better in that regard, but less effective for snoring. I was likely wearing one when taking the overnight oximetry test that led me on the path to CPAP prescription. Happy wife...you know the...

Did you check/replace the filter? Is there a clear path to the intake?

Re: Transend 2 auto cpap memory battery
So far I have avoided the dreaded Z1 error code. I believe it may be due to the fact I keep it powered up most of the time in my camper. Never been an issue with my non-travel CPAPs, also kept powered up.

Re: Seeking Advice Adjusting to CPAP (unique anatomical considerations)
I can see having a pressure differential across the cheek with an open mouth and FFM. Atmospheric pressure outside and therapy pressure within. Perhaps there's a FFM that covers more of the cheek keeping it all equal?

Re: Inspire Review by Wall Street
The link fails to take me anything called Wall Street. You have to get your own Uber to Wall Street. Poor kid never heard of the Wall Street Journal . . . Small towns are like that. I have heard of the Wall Street Journal, but the link goes to something called Wolfpack Research. No mention of WSJ o...

Two trips to Europe so far, and I've used the seat outlet for my CPAP on all four transatlantic legs. No bending occurred in my presence.

Re: Recall received but many questions
Filters were not the problem. If they were, Philips could have simply sent us all replacement filters. The problem was with the sound abatement foam inside the machine. All the affected models are listed on their website.

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
Has anyone gotten a replacement machine this way, with no doctors or scrips involved? If so maybe I will make the attempt. I certainly don't want to go getting a former doctor (that I left for good reason) involved, and the $50 offer is ludicrous. If they are going to send me a new Dreamstation 2, ...

Re: V-COM Questions
The CPAP's sensors are in the machine and can only provide information on the air as it leaves the machine. Since this device is placed between the CPAP and the user, the sleep data generated is totally bogus. The degree of this skewing is impossible to calculate. I'm pretty sure this is all wrong,...
