Hi everyone, I know that I haven't been around for a while -- problems and no time! I recently got the heated hose with the pigtail and found that my PB420e shut down intermittently the first night. I looked at the the power supply amperage rating, the rating on the PB420e and the rating of the heat...

Hi JudyAnn, I recently purchased the new heated hose with the pigtail adapter for the Tyco/Puritan Bennet machines. The amp rating on the power supply for the PB420e is not enough to run the auto and the heated hose at the same time. The auto kept shutting off. I purchased a second powersupply and b...

I wanted to add my kudos to Rested Gal -- what a talent to be able to convey this pretty technical information in a way that everyone can not only understand, but relate to -- and with humor too! Common sense is not always found among the technical folks, and Rested Gal's feet are firmly on the grou...

Hi HisServ, I completely understand where you are at -- I was there too in January. I had an arrogant sleep doc at first, who wouldn't listen to me . I was so angry (exacerbated by sleep deprivation) and frustrated by leaks that I spent a lot of time with the nice RT -- he helped me with the mask is...

I like my temperpedic too -- I use the travel size all the time, and it rolls up into a small roll to take with me when I travel. The memory foam absorbs the hoses without cutting off the air! I use my pap pillow to hold my book -- didn't work as a pillow for me -- I got the small, boomerang shaped ...

Hi RickSt, That is wonderful news! It took me a month after my sleep study to get my machine. And I am envious of your pressure! The low end on my auto is 10... Be sure to discuss taking the CPAP to the hospital if you are getting general anethesia -- there are previous topics that you can search. B...

Hi RickSt,

Glad to hear that you are home -- there's no place like it -- surely not the hospital!

Good luck with the stents -- I hope that all goes well and try not to worry -- it will all work out!

Best wishes,

Good luck with your procedure -- I would be annoyed with the doc too!

Hi Stetsongirl, My AHI was 78, so yours looks good to me! I was titrated at 14cm/H2O, and on straight CPAP at first, and have since purchased (on my own nickel) an APAP which is set from 10-17. I have been 100% compliant since January. I do not consider it an option to ever go to sleep without my ho...

Hi Terry, Well, it's been a long strange journey... I had my sleep study in early December. Finally got my machine in mid January. Decided my first sleep doc was an arrogant b*s#$%d. Spoke to the RT's in the sleep lab on my way out and got a recommendation for a good doc who would actually LISTEN to...

Hi MartiniLover, I use the NAII without the headband (tried it 1 or 2 nights and ditched it) and I also do not use the bolo -- just the back of the neck strap. I cover my small hoses with a knitted, tubular cotton bandage material -- sold by the foot at medical supply stores -- to make it feel less ...

Hi Tampa Tom, I hope that you can get this straightened out, but I have to be honest here -- I have an auto and my bottom pressure is 10. I am glad to be able to spend part of my night at that pressure. The top end for me is 17, and my titrated pressure was 14 (a little low, I think). The point here...

Hi Terry Flower51, I have the PB420e, and love it. I did yank it off the stand that it sits on once. Here's what I did. I have my unit on a small stand/shelf (an oak woodshop project that one of my boys made in high school -- heavy for it's size). I have my APAP in a dishwashing size plastic bin, si...
