Re: CAN YOU HEAR WEATHER SIRENS WHILE SLEEPING WITH CPAP?
Those of us post 9/11 from the Metro NY/NJ area, don't have weather sirens, but we do look up at planes a lot more. Especially those flying low, at night I hear them and even with apap machine/and/sound machine running, I look out the window.... No weather sirens, but lots of other stresses, I guess...

Cardiac Cath
Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers. They all help and are gret, and thank you. This is my second cath, had one 4 yrs. ago. Dr. said I don't ''fit the curve''' that I'd have a change, but I said, on insulin, and sleep ap, he actually said, "Yes you're right". I felt like a robot speaking no o...

Hi Txs I have been saving the doc's under MY DOCUMENTS, so I can go back and refer to it. Also I print out a hard copy, which after 190 sessions, I've shredded some of those, too much paper. I figured it'd just go back to '0' and start over, but I'll have the first 200 night's worth. I wondered if i...

Re: It's D-day (or DME-Day)
Always gets an auto pap. rested gal is our professor and her help and knowledge is invaluable. FWIW, I use the PB 420E, set on apap, and the swift nasal pillow. If you can get the swift n. p. for 9 bucks, PM me faster than fast, and I'll buy some. I buy thru cpap.com very reliable very fast, friendl...

Re: Does this normally happen?
No. My silverlining software for the 420E prints me out a daily copy of my ''night's numbers'' always 0.2 to 0.5 leakes, never a flat line, so some air must be escaping, I use the swift n. pillow and of course there's ventilation holes anyway.....but w/the swifty I can ''hear'' the ''ssssss'' of air...

Silverlining Software Question
A question for anyone using the silverlining software.I read the literature says 200 episdes are recorded. I am getting close, will it just delete the previous episodes will it ''alert'' me? Any ideas? Do I need to ''do'' anything to the settings, what not? I can't ask my DME --she has left the plan...

Re: 6 month checkup
If someone uses the 420E and the silverlining software package we are able to check our ''own'' machines daily, change settings, print out reports, check ap's, pop's, etc. Is this the norm that we have machines checked? Just curious, I am coming up on 6 mos..wondering? One of the sites I visited sai...

Re: Insomnia an effect of sleep anea? (Complicated)
YES! Insomnia is a complicated diagnosis and many causes/effects are involved. First one must get to the root of what is causing the insomnia. I can't pinpoint exactly when my insomnia started, was it apnea first, insomnia? Who Knows? What I do know is that I logged when I first noticed not sleeping...

A good suggestion=
is to speak to cpap.com. Ask for good auto paps, recommendations, differences, etc. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. I got stuck with the DME ''blues'' too, but then I went ahead and ordered my second set thru cpap.com. NO problems. THey are very helpful, knowledgeable and you can always che...

HI I feel a little better, some more energy, but no ""REFRESHED and raring to go as some people are. Living in this area, near you, heat and humidity alone add to fatigue. But over time I have found (4 mos. on apap) that I have more stamina, not 100%, but then how many years did I suffer from OSA, p...

Re: Lunesta
I have used Lunesta, I get about 5-6 hours out of 3 mgs. Do not feel that you should NEVER take anything to help you fall sleep. There are many fortunate people on the board that are just plain lucky that they can fall asleep, sustain sleep, and stay asleep. Many other medical conditions, medication...

Many people on here can give you their experiences..Also are you getting a htd humidifier? Just a few off the top questions to you? But I am interested in your diabetes quote? Good luck wi...
