I've been using CPAP for four years now and have found my heated humidifier the best thing since sliced bread when it comes to sinus problems. I run mine on three. I had run it as high as 5, but that really didn't seem to give any greater benefit, and I would empty the resevoir. There were a couple ...

I've been using a heated humidifier for over a year now and only had a rainout a couple of times. Typically, I run mine on 4 (out of the same 1-5 choices). I started off at 2 and it just didn't put enough moisture in the air. I don't have a sleeve or a heated hose, instead, I pull the hose under the...

I would have to say that Barb (Seattle) is inside my head. I have been using the Comfortfull for about a year now. Not my first choice in masks, but the price was right, and I have learned to adjust to it and despite a couple of shortcomings, prefer it over some others I have tried. I do still get l...

Drowning?
I recently (last week) started using a heated humidifier. I am sleeping great now. One thing that I thought of though is "Am I drowning myself?" With my old passover humidifier I only had to fill it once every four or five days. With this heated humidifier, I fill it every night. I didn't check the ...

Not being a sleep doctor, I would say that maybe you are getting too much sleep. Most adults only need 7-8 hours sleep a night. Another thing is your sleep patterns. To maximize your rest and sleep cycles, you should try going to bed and getting up around the same time everyday...yes, weekends too. ...

the ULtra Mirage FF just has two sets Even though you have less straps, I would still try loosening them. I didn't believe it would work at first, but when I finally got tired of the deep red marks on my face, and the sores on the bridge of my nose, I decided to give it a try. Lo and behold, it wor...

Willy, You have come to the right place. There are a lot of experienced people here. The one thing you have to have with this treatment, is patience. It will likely take some time before you get everything dialed in just right and start getting better rest and feeling better. That's not to say it ca...

Diva, You might be trying too hard. I have a Mirage Series 2 and have found that if the straps are too tight, it is just as bad as if they are too loose. The top strap on mine is just snug. The middle two are loose enough to fit two fingers between the straps and my head and the bottom two are snug....

Good point Wader . And who knows, maybe even land a big deal with a reputable dealer like CPAP.com and start making some serious coin. Liam , good watchdogging. We are a little sensitive about our forum here, as Linda pointed out, and don't want to see people put it in jeopardy by doing things not i...

Great thread... I am currently a technical writer/policy analyst who supports a DoD agency in the fight against WMD's and their proliferation. I have been doing this for about a year. Before that, I spent 22 years in the U.S. Navy working with underwater weapons and related launching and handling sy...

CI, As you get the opportunity to read through the different posts on here, there are a couple of things that stand out: 1. Find a good mask. This is most likely the most difficult step in the process. There are many different ways to interface (pillows, full face, nasal, oral, etc.). There are also...
