Re: Bad leaks and fits from AC11 and P30i
For Resmed, Mask Fit starts at the *highest pressure allowed*... so, if you have the factory default 4-20cm set, it will start at 20cm! It then steps down after every 5min, 5cm at a time IIRC. Chances are you will not be able to get a good fit at 20cm. Best to set your machine to your normal peak pr...

Re: Upgrade to Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto
I just checked my Aircurve... it has three modes, S, CPAP, and vAuto. S mode is straight bi-level... you set an inhale and an exhale pressure. CPAP is just one straight pressure. vAuto is given a range and allowed to search around inside that range, with the next most important setting being PS, or ...

Re: Resmed S9 ASV "Motor life exceeded"
The motor for this machine is readily available on Amazon or Alibaba. It costs about 130USD from Amazon and less from Alibaba. https://www.amazon.com/Blower-Compatible-Resmed-Airsense-Replacement/dp/B0C6T38TLN https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Resmed-airsense-10-motor_1600912369975.html The rep...

Re: Eligible for a New Machine-My Dilemma
I recommend getting a bi-level titration and make them get you an Aircurve 10 vAuto. I had to pay through the nose for the titration... but I'm sleeping much better now... and since I paid for the titration my PPO deductible is satisfied so I'm paying much less for the Aircurve 10. Also... now I hav...

Re: Are there any sources online to download CPAP firmware?
I don't want to RMA my machine because the only issue with it is its not receiving any updates. It's been tested at the DME clinic and despite it being connected to cellular data the update isn't being pushed to it. They tried everything and the manufacturer said they want to examine it and assess ...

Re: looking for tricks to sleeping on my side...please!
Bicycle generator seems the obvious solution... only engage on downhills along with braking, perhaps. Obviously try this rig before taking off. I still think there's no reason to change your sleep study to do this... make sure they record all sleep position data, as most do. Practice sleeping on you...

Re: looking for tricks to sleeping on my side...please!
The object is not to 'pass' the test... the thing should be able to tell your position, give it some of left, right, and back... it records separate AHI numbers for each, this tells the doctor things they want to know. When I went in for my lab titration the tech told me during the second half to sl...

Welcome! If you edit your profile to include your machine and mask (and anything else you want to) we'll know more about it and you. See mine (at the bottom of each post) for an example. When we need help we share graphs... I use both Oscar (free software) and SleepHQ (free website) to analyze the d...

As you've found, it works fine. When considering current capacity, excess is no problem.

Re: Moving from AS 11 to Lowenstein PRISMA 20a
I have read about people having trouble with the transition to biPAP from APAP as well. Not sure of their main complaints but I do think it has to do with that timing. I think the majority said to put it on rapid response or whatever it was. I know that some people also ordered the wrong machine. M...

Re: Moving from AS 11 to Lowenstein PRISMA 20a
So the EPR 3 dips effective pressure to the Epap right. The bi level machine lives at one pressure? So if I had inhale at 10 and exhale at 6, it will live at 8? C/APAP lives at the high pressure... bi-level lives at the low pressure. C/APAP dips the exhales, bi-level punches up the inhales. C/APAP ...

Re: Resmed 11 Water Chamber Capacity Increaser
My Resmed 11 water chamber hits the min. mark and I wake up too early like clockwork. Have tried all settings. No joy. Some time ago I thought I saw a field expedient solution to increasing the water chamber capacity. I can't find it again and REALLY want to find it! Thanks. ClearSpring costs a cou...

Re: Moving from AS 11 to Lowenstein PRISMA 20a
I have a lot of issues breathing out against pressure and the Lowenstein ramps up too quickly after my exhale drop that it just messes with me. I wish I could change the timing on how fast the inhale comes back. I need an IPAP pressure of 9.6-10.2, but my body struggles when I have IPAP 6 or higher...
