Re: Question for ASV users
Thanks to all. I did (after much anxiety and fidgeting) manage to get encore pro 2 up and working, seems like my hypopnias acted up a bit but the Centrals and Obstructives dropped like a rock. My average was 4.8 AHI made up mostly of hypopnias which made up 4.3 of it. Settings: Max Pressure: 25 cmH2...

Question for ASV users
I just got my Dreamstation ASV today, my wife signed for it while I was at work. I have no seen any before and after examples of centrals and hypopnias on a report, id be curious to see that. Also, Ive heard it can be an extensive adjustment time getting used to these things, what are some things to...

Re: A good night... But a lot of prep work
I may have to jump on board with the Biotene, Not liking the sticky mouth thing going on. A Biotene mouthwash rinse will only help moisturize the mouth for a few minutes. Here is where the hours-long moisturizing comes from: XyllMelts tab on gums Xylimelts - https://www.google.com/search?q=xylimelt...

Re: Odd question
Id like to apologize and to clarify- Ive been angry with this Apnea since its never gotten stable, I still have to go through the hurdles of getting onto the ASV machine, and probably jumped to conclusions when I saw online that I could possibly have acquired central apnea from spine surgery. I cant...

Re: What do you do with your hose?
I have a double shelf headboard that the machine sits on and I bought two pulleys from amazon that mount on the wall that take up the slack as I move. Works for me.

Re: Are all CPAP users disabled?
I bet the 50% only applies if diagnosed while on active duty. I'm retired Navy E6 and still do what I did when I was on active duty 17 years ago, certainly not disabled.

Re: Odd question
Thanks for your service...Sounds like you are trying to connect OSA to your back problems so you can get an increase in disability payments ????? Yes, I had to have fusion surgery 14 years after they gave me 10% for chronic severe lumbar pain. Since they turned down my request for increase and appr...

Re: Odd question
Ok, thanks everyone. I just saw that a cervical spine surgery "can" cause it (mine was lumbar, but they do have to move your spinal cord out of the way and I had a broken bone sitting on it), I know theres no way to tell what/when caused my CSA, I just found it odd how that's about when my severe ex...

Odd question
Has anyone or anyone know of anyone who has been able to connect spinal surgery to CSA? I had L4-S1 Fusion surgery January of 2015 and as I think about it, that about when my exhaustion began. I had gotten a bad back from 20 years military service and it definitely IS service connected for which I w...

Re: Question for VPAP/ASV users
Just saw the Doc, because of the 3 sleepyhead screenshots and the data from the machine, IM getting an ASV finally. They want a ultrasound of my heart done which I already had done 6 months ago, and then on to the sleep study to set the pressures. Thank you all so so very much!
