Newbie here. I'm a year into therapy and recently noticed a bump on the left side (bridge) of my nose. I have a feeling it's related to the resmed f20 mask. I've had decent luck with it but want to try something new.
The PCP that helped me get approved for treatment has since moved on and I was never referred to a specialist. I've been winging it like a lot of folks and watching youtube videos for tips.
I'm trying to avoid ordering a mask that doesn't work for me and eating the cost. Being we are early in the year, I haven't met my deductible. Looking for the most cost effective way to try new masks on a budget.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a doctor or sales rep in Texas? My insurance is statewide so thankfully I have flexibility to look outside my local area. TIA

Re: f20 issues
I'll echo the feedback someone gave me last night. I reached out to Aeroflow Sleep. They were in network and so far I'm really enjoying working with them.
As far as the mask... I am using the F20. I'm trying out the F&P Vitera. I used to use the Simplus, and this is the newer version of that mask. I have heard really good things about the mask. I am having issues with my neck reacting to the F20 headgear, so I am hoping to have better luck with the Vitera.

If no doctor has yet seen the new bump on your nose,
PLEASE make an appointment!
Not that it is anything bad, but if it is--the sooner, the better!
I have had cancer twice--both identified and treated soon enough for cures.
Time does not heal some things. Knowlege is way better.

Re: f20 issues
There are so many problems with masks that fit on the bridge of the nose, that I wonder if someday they won't all be discontinued.
Try the ResMed AirFit F30i or F30. - https://www.cpap.com/search?query=resmed%20airfit

Re: f20 issues
I alternate between the F30 and the F20 just about weekly. Sometimes the F20 irritates the bridge of my nose where it touches. Sometimes the F30 hates me and irritates under my nose.
On the F20 you should try the airtouch cushion if you haven't, it has memory foam at the contact points. It also seams better if you have facial hair.
I can't stand any of the top of head feed masks, they sound like a wind tunnel when on my side.

I use gel pads on my nose with f20. It prevents the bump. Gecko is expensive but amazon has a pack of 5 cheap. Look under cpap supplies.
