Re: Travel Question
Yup, know about outlet adapters etc. Very experienced traveler, but zero experience traveling with a CPAP machine. Anyone know whether I should just detach the little "cell phone" attached to the back of the S9?

Travel Question
Been sleeping with my ResMed S9 Elite since mid-February, and even though I travel frequently, I have not taken a trip with it yet. That is about to change with an upcoming 12 day trip to eastern Europe. I did buy a smaller 30W power supply, but will probably try to take the humidifier along with th...

Re: Reviews of new AirFit P10 Resmed nasal pillow mask thread
I have been using the P10 for about two weeks, and overall I am quite pleased. In lighter moments, I often believe that I have forgotten to put on a device since it is so quiet. The headbands have to be situated just right and the angle of the pillows has to be spot on to avoid leaks around the pill...

Re: Is it posible to become dependent on CPAP?
As a physician and OSA patient, let me give you my take on this question: Someday, both the OSA sufferers and their physicians may look back on this era where patients have to sleep with contraptions out of the movie Alien attached to their faces. They are hard at work attempting to develop and perf...

Pugsy, do you think it is an important enough issue to make a polite stink over... APAP capable S9 vs CPAP only?

Re: One Month Checkup Questions
OK, just a followup... went for my one month visit last week... remember, they requested that I bring my S9 machine with me... she checked it to make sure it was giving a pressure of 10cm with some test tube that had a marble in it. Changed the filter. And that was about the sum of it. The modem was...

Re: One Month Checkup Questions
A few days ago, I received an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from Blue Cross... looks like my co-pay is $39 for the machine and the initial mask. I have no idea about the rental term... will have to check on that. I know the modem pops off... I actually detach it when I blow dry the tube after rinsin...

Re: One Month Checkup Questions
The "modem" is still attached... I always thought it was a small cell phone. Is that a device which gets returned? I had just assumed it was part of the unit. Although I am a physician, I am still trying to understand all the financial and insurance angles here. After reading something on this board...

One Month Checkup Questions
Next week, I go to see the R.N. at my DME dealer where I picked up my S9. I flunked my sleep study miserable enough so that they interrupted me at 0100 to try a nasal mask for the rest of the night. For the past month, on the S9, pressure 10.0cm, using both nasal masks and FX , AHI results have been...

Distilled Water and Travel
I do travel frequently and was wondering about how easy it would be to find distilled water when traveling? Bottled water is everywhere, but not distilled water. Can you get bottled distilled water on cruise ships? What issues would be potentially present if I simply used bottled spring water? Or ev...

Re: Slightly off topic: Mattress Toppers
Mattress pads made a huge difference to my wife and I. They do tend to migrate somewhat but no big deal. Bed and Bath has a huge selection... we have used a mattress quilt rather than a foam pad. Before we bought it, I used to go to bed feeling great and wake up injured!

Re: Ambien for the sleep study
When I had my initial sleep study in early February, I figured that everything should be as close to normal as possible. I usually take a 1/2 Ambien (5mg), so I took one for my sleep study. My wife is a recovery room nurse, so I already was quite certain that I would flunk my sleep test. I did indee...

Re: ResScan Software Download
Pugsy, new S9 Elite user... downloaded Sleepyhead and can see my data from the SD card most of the time. For some reason, two days in the last and first 14 nights showed no data.
Could you kindly send me the link for the ResScan newest version. Thanks.

The certain percentage of patients will need a repeat attempt at ablation. If you still have atrial fibrillation, then unfortunately the ablation failed.

Bedside Table Real Estate
Having flunked my sleep study miserably, I am now in the first week of using my ResMed S9 Elite. So here is a question: Has anyone suggested imbedding a clock radio alarm onto the CPAP machine in an effort to conserve endtable real estate? Or an iPod dock? Or a phone handset?
