Good to know. I've had some issues with inconsistent humidification which seemed related to the seal closure.

Re: Is the ResMed Airsense 11 Humidifier issue fixed / workarounds okay?

> All this is to say that if you're worried, you could buy a new AS10 like the one you have, and live happily with it for the next 5 years. Yes, I've considered it, but my DME is no longer providing AS 10s so it would be a hassle, and I'd really prefer not to live with the older technology (albeit n...

Re: Is the ResMed Airsense 11 Humidifier issue fixed / workarounds okay?

I think I saw this thread earlier in the year (and the post is from last year), then did some Googling and I thought there was a known design issue with it. Which would of course take some time to fix and release to the field. But I was under a lot of stress at the time and may have catastrophized t...

Is the ResMed Airsense 11 Humidifier issue fixed / workarounds okay?

I tried a search and couldn't readily find this info, if I missed a good thread just point me there. Long time CPAP user, currently have ResMed Airsense 10 past service life and having weird problems. I'd like to get a new machine because I'm afraid this one could die any day. I had my periodic slee...

Re: OSA and high altitude

Electrical equipment can have issues at high altitude due to the way electricity is conducted or insulated against. If you're interested you can learn more about this at http://www.frontdoor.biz/HowToPCB/HowToPCB-extra/CreepageandClearance.pdf. This is why electrical medical devices are certified to...

Re: US Army Says - Sleep Loss 'Worse For Extroverts'

My significant other has traumatic brain injury. He also had a stroke in the pons. The pons is the portion of the brain that controls balance, fight or flight, and some of the mechanical aspects of making sounds. I definitely see this effect in him when he doesn't get enough sleep. Keeping up a conv...

Re: Quattro full face

After wearing my Quattro for a while and getting the sore nose bridge, I found that if I verrrrry carefully wiggled it up a bit once it was seated, it made the difference between having a sore nose, and not. Took some time messing around to do it right, and of course it might work on my face and no ...

Since I started using my hybrid mask, I've had hardly any nosebleeds, or nasal congestion either. I would have tried CPAP for that alone!

Re: Doctor - Patient Disconnect

More like megalomania. Okay, that's a little harsh. How about narcissism? It's all part of mania, Jimbo. The hypergraphia is a significant symptom as well. It's more common this time of year - there are theories that it's related to reduction in daylight hours. Some people go in the spring instead,...

Re: Anyone used EMDR to help with CPAP adjustment or know about

He says I have severe apnea and need this and is suggesting possibly the use of EMDR to help me with the panic from it. I have been unable to sleep with it and cannot relax from having it near me. If anyone does know of this at all or has used this before, please advise. My fiance doesn't have slee...

Re: OT What is wrong with Klonopin?

Hi All, I was reading another thread and some people got really upset that Klonopin was prescribed for a person. I am just curious, because I have been taking it for a long while for panic attacks. Xanax is too addicting for me. I have had panic attacks for most of my life. I am really wanting to k...
