Re: Heating system error AS11
Warm but not hot sounds about right. The only time any of my CPAP humidifiers got hot was when I allowed them to run dry. Thanks. Good point. The heating error was sporadic. I cant tell if that means it will blow air that will just dry you out when that happens or what, since it isn't heating the w...

Re: Heating system error AS11
Pulm says call DME. DME has no record of a machine for me. No DME sticker. Come to think of it Im not entirely sure I had a bill for the actual machine in any claim form. I got it July 2022 when the post covid post phillips recall long wait for a machine period meant waiting a few months. hmmmm they...

Heating system error AS11
I saw there were a few people who had a heating system error. I got one this morning. I swapped out the humidifier tub and the climate line hose. This did not fix the problem. I’m not getting any error message anymore but it’s also not working. i’m going to put in a call to the pulmonologist and fin...

Re: Smart watches and sleep apnea ?
Another thing that crazy about these watches...... Last night I was asleep (as far as I was "aware" I was unconscious)...for 6 hours and 22 minutes, But my watch tells me that I was AWAKE for a total of 50 minutes in 22 episodes. Since we know that "awake time" is not reliable for apnea event detec...

Re: dry mouth on the one hand, rain out on the other.
UPDATE- nothing has changed in my long term goal of sleeping dry but not too dry. wanted to post this, though. night before last, i went to bed with auto climate set to a temp of 81 and hose cover on. woke up at 3 with rain out in mask only. neither the heated hose nor the short hose showed condens...

Re: Question about possible mold / bacterial contamination
Wally world distilled has red cap. By definition, you didn’t describe distilled water you described “remineralized water”. Please... I didn't define it, buy it, or label it. Have you looked at the label yet? I only pointed it out for people who don't/have not yet looked at or read the label. Here i...

Re: Chin strap + TMJ
you have to turn the heat up in the tube at the same time as the humidity or you will get rainout.
if it doesn’t bother you in hot shower it probably won’t bother you with higher temperatures and humidity. jmho

Some of them say minerals added.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Sun Dec 24, 2023 2:47 pmOne time, I ALMOST bought the distilled baby water--
But I read the label before it was too late!.
Read the freakin' label, for jeebus' sake.
Some do not. (i assume they’re regular distilled)
No need to cry out loud.

Re: A gross question
The thing is I gotta believe many others have a similar experience. If you mean cpap pushing snot down into your airway and lungs....no you are the first I have heard mention this. am I the only one reading this with Jethro Tull Aqualung playing in thier head? I find the heat and humidity work much...

Re: Question about possible mold / bacterial contamination
When we used distilled water from walmart, the pink slime happened. It does not with our home distiller. I don't trust some of the "distilled water" out there. Or the people selling it. Perhaps your issue has something to do with the fact that you never clean your equipment? I've been using...

Re: CPAPIneffective
Greetings all. I have been using both my CPAP and mouth pieces to adjust my jaw every night for three months and although it seems to have reduced my sleep stoppages from severe down to barely a few per hour, there has been no improvement in the state of my brain when I wake up every morning. My br...

Re: Chin strap + TMJ
I am unsure which mask you use. P10? Have you had any decent nights? Is it possible you have the crispy crus that’s going around right now? Has it been different since you started? (trying to figure if it’s transient or more long lasting like an allergy as Miss Emerita rightly suggested). I use the...

Re: Conduct noise from TV audio
To piggyback off of what Conrad is asking- Do you hear it with mask on and machine off? What mask? If it was an N30i or something with the frame around the face and ears I can imagine a scenario where as we know sound travels better thru solids than air. If you hear it louder with mask on and pap on...
