Agreed, ChicagoGranny! It's more than merely encouraging. It suggests an opportunity for creating vaccines that's faster and safer not just for SARS-COV2 but for future novel viruses as well. Looking forward to the Phase 3.
The big hurdle now is ramping up distribution. We haven't got US facilities large enough to do this much medical glass for a vaccine. I understand they're talking about devloping
plastic prefilled syringes made in the US.

still like to see an
at-home test that includes both IgA (contagious) and IgM (past contagion) antibodies in a single test with indicators just like an at-home pregnancy test. It should be something that's handed out like candy to kids for free because it's the only way to know who's got it (isolate/quarantine), who's had it (for historical records) and who's no longer contagious (end isolation).

If all one is going to post is a "They say" and then asserting some claim, don't even post. It is these types of posts that are responsible for all the misinformation so prevalent in modern-day society.
If no source is provided, don't believe it and certainly don't spread it.

We've been 'hunkering' since early March except for an occasional walk (with mask) around the block. Fortunately, daughter does the shopping for us. So, one more month to get to the three month mark. Problem is the vast majority of our neighbors (et al) are screaming about "opening up". One wonders where they got that idea.
Just heard on the news that Donald Trump has been taking Hydroxychloroquine for over a week.
Nuff said. See, JNK and Zonker, I can talk in riddles too.
By golly... we may have found the vaccine sooner than we thought possible.

Years ago, hydroxychloroquine was given for malaria prevention when traveling to third-world countries. You could take it by injection or tablet. It was two doses spaced a couple of weeks apart. If I remember correctly, it was required for visits to certain countries.

I took hydroxychloroquine daily for 6-8 months before I finally talked the doctor into letting me stop it. They were handing it out like candy for off label autoimmune issues. I never felt like it helped. It didn't hurt tho. There were low side effects. It just didn't stop my flair up.

A randomized, placebo controlled, double blind study demonstrated use of hydroxychloroquine in chronic urticaria in doses of 200 mg/day for a duration of at least 12 weeks. Improvement in quality of life scores was observed.[15]
Hydroxychloroquine is a very safe drug, with most common adverse effect being GI upset. The risk of retinopathy increases significantly after 5 years of use; however, baseline ophthalmologic evaluation is recommended within first year of starting therapy."

It's either a sign of incompetence from GA's DPH or somebody is intentionally attempting to skew data to look better than they are.

According to one conspiracy theory, there are now multiple differing conspiracy theories presently being hatched in order to obscure the true origins of all the other conspiracy theories. But frankly, I'm not so sure I believe that.
And personally, I'm also not so sure when Pugsy wrote in the thread title "everything go here please" that she was referring to this thread as the actual location meant by the word "here." I can think of a lot of places she may have meant under her breath. I mean, if you know the REAL Pugsy. She could have meant for some of us to go to . . . Just sayin'.

One theory is that Donald Trump isn't really taking Hydrox... just another diversion... from the Friday night firings as of late, among many other diversions.
Another theory is the money Donald Trump and family stand to make if H actually takes off. In the meanwhile, people who really need it can't get it.
