Remstar Error Codes

Post by qttrcoupe » Wed Feb 21, 2007 10:20 am

Does anyone have a list of the error codes.. I have seen a couple on here I keep showing up and E-20 on my Remstar Auto M C-Flex... Not sure what it is. the machine still functions normally but I am growing concerned as it did it twice last night just before bed.

Thanks
Kyle

Kyle,

The service manual says that the E-20 error is:

ERR_AIC_DEFAULT_HANDLER

Defective FLASH chip

Replace main PCA (that's the main motherboard)

You're going to have to send it in to the factory.
These machines have a 2-year warranty. Hopefully it's not past that.

Best wishes,

Once again does anyone know where to find a complete listing of the error codes for the Remstar Auto? Not just one at a time but the complete list.

Thank you

Yeah.....they're in the "Service Manual" for the machines. The manuals are in .pdf format.

But.....just for YOU.....I've converted that section to text format and am posting the complete list for the Auto and Pro 2. Be sure to copy them to your computer so I don't have to do this AGAIN!

I've added this to CPAP FAQ so others can find it easily in the future. This is the second time I've had to find it myself.

thanks,

Thanks for list of codes. My machine gave me an E-32. When I unplug it it works for about 29 minutes and then dies. Guess I take it in tomorrow. It is at least 5 years old.

Thanks so much for the codes I really appreciate it. Especially since they never gave me a service manual on the machine 4 years ago. I was basically told that if something happened I was to call in to the respiratory company and have them come fix it. Then because they said it was purchased that there was nothing that they could do about it. Doesn't make much sense to me if your going to have to live with the machine for the rest of your life . If I were in control of the company I would want the ones that have the machines to know as much as possible about it. and I never had any problems until now. 4 years later.

Scary stuff. Not the thing to read the morning of the day I'm planning on ordering a pre-M Remstar BiPAP Auto.

Strange to think all this stuff can go wrong with these machines, yet I've been using my old HealthDyne Tranquilty Quest at roughly 10 cm for almost 11 years.

I hope my new BiPAP auto will last at least half that long. I know it's more intricate, but . . . well, I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

Which specific machine?
Sounds like it could be the OLD REMstar Auto.......this is what it says for that model:

E-087 - ERR_BRMODEL_MAX_AMPLITUDE - •Defective RAM chip - •Replace Main PCA

It means a bad flow sensor or it has been exposed to water. Try to let it dry off for awhile, if that doesnt work then it has to be sent back to the manufacturer.
