I am experimenting with the Dreamwear full face mask. I already had the nasal version, so I just bought the medium full "cushion" (and headstrap) off Amazon, because I wear the medium nasal. I am a mouth breather and trying to get away from taping. The nose part seems to fit fine, but the mouth part barely goes past the edges of my mouth. Does anyone have the full fit pack and can tell me if the mouth part of the large is wider than the mouth part of the medium or if only the nasal size changes.
thanks,
MKD

I've got the same idea. I have the nasal cushion - I'm planning to buy just the parts needed to convert to the Dreamwear FFM (for stuffy-head season). So I'm definitely interested in any experienced replies.

Yes, the face cushions are different sizes, but the difference is very small. I also bought the FF based on my good experience with the nasal cushion. So far I haven't gotten a good seal with the FF face mask portion. The nose cushion portion works fine but they both need to seal well for the mask to work.mdemers800 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 03, 2018 1:05 pmDoes anyone have the full fit pack and can tell me if the mouth part of the large is wider than the mouth part of the medium or if only the nasal size changes.
From a post I made in a different thread ( http://cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t ... n#p1263341 ):
The mouth apertures are very similar but not all the same size. My aperture on my small full face cushion is 2 and 1/4" wide, the M/W is 2 7/16" and my large, which is deeper for more nose room, is 2 5/16". My measurements may not be perfect, but holding the Large and the Medium Wide together, they are clearly different widths at the aperture. Subtle, but definitely different.
The photo shows the M/W and the L. You can see that the M/W really does have a wider mouth aperture, not just a wider aperture for the nostrils.
I don't have the medium with me, so I can't give you measurements on it at this time, but I think the large is mostly *deeper* than the medium to give you more room for a big nose on the cushion, rather than a bigger aperture, but IIRC the aperture is slightly larger, too.

Re: Dreamwear full face mask
It's not super obvious in the photo, but the cut out for the nostrils is also a lot wider on the medium wide cushion, not just the mouth aperture. Again, I don't have the cushions handy with me right now, but if you have the m/w nasal cushion from the fit kit of the regular dreamwear it should be similar. I can get it to work for me, barely. So it really is meant for wider noses. Not sure if that combo is what you are looking for or not.mdemers800 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 03, 2018 4:46 pmStom,

Re: Dreamwear full face mask
I have found that in most masks, the difference between one size and the next size up (or down) is very slight and minimal. Yes.... you can see the difference, but I am always surprised at the difference.

Re: Dreamwear full face mask
I just bought the Dreamwear fullface cushion and headgear.
In the nasal cushion Dreamwear I wear a small. I had the "fit pack" so I have tried all sizes. Even in the medium, in the nasal cushion, I cannot get it to seal so I have been wearing smalls for over a year in the nasal cushion and am very happy with the fit.
Based on this experience, and the information here on CPAPtalk, I decided to purchase a small in the full face mask. I find that I have the same sensation as the OP. It fits my nose perfectly, but it only 'just' covers the width of my mouth. Would NOT cover if I smiled.
I only purchased this fullface cushion as an emergency for when I get a cold or flu. Last winter was awful for me and I even tried to sleep sucking on my nasal cushion during a prolonged flu.
So I am really REALLY happy to have this dreamwear full face mask in place. If it doesn't work, I will buy a medium at that point.
About the Money
I ended up making an offer on eBay that was kindly accepted, so I feel I got a great price. At the time I was shopping, there was an AWESOME price on a fullface fit pack on Bonanza of all places. I almost went that direction but in the end, I just went with the separate pieces to save a few dollars.
Also, a warning ... I noticed some eBay sellers were selling the headgear without the clips! And then selling the clips separately. That would have been really frustrating if I had accidentally done that while shopping for the lowest price. They were selling the headstrap really cheap and then the clips to make it work for $25.
