HI

My bi-pap machine has reached the 5 year mark or soon will. My doctor gets the card to check my results every year so he may be able to tell something from that. My question would be, do you need to have the machine tested somehow to see if it does actually deliver the pressure it says it does? Is there actually a way to test the machine? Who would do such a test?

This does not keep me awake at nights worrying about it.

If your DME is local, they can easily check it. Takes about 2 minutes.

Most DMEs have the little gadget (manometer) of some sort that can check to see if the pressure being delivered is what is showing on the machine.

If no DME available...you can make a home made manometer (search the forum as it has been discussed in the past) or if want to buy one they are a bit pricey considering homemade costs next to nothing. I have never had the desire myself but some people have.
Nor to be honest have I felt the need to verify pressures.
