Airsense 10 autoset issue

Post by Lyndmc » Sun Apr 22, 2018 2:53 pm

I've had my ResMed Airsense 10 for about 14 months. The machine has been very quiet and much better than my old Phillips machine.

Recently it started making an odd noise. When I transition from inhale to exhale, the machine makes a pop sound. It doesnt always always do it, but the machine is on my nightstand next to my head and it's annoying.

Any ideas, anyone else experience this? I've taken everything apart and cleaned it and I put the machine in the sun to get warmed up in case its a moisture issue.

Excessive moisture in the hose can cause a popping sound. If the machine is lower than your mattress there is less chance of that happening because moisture will run back to the humidifier.

I’ve experienced popping as you describe with my RemMaster but this sounds more like a mechanical flapper noise.

Just check the hose for water.

There's nothing in the machine that could cause the sound you're talking about, I doubt even a mis-placed filter would do it.

Just a little bit of water in the hose can make an amazing amount of noise!
