Freedom battery qeastion

There is a fan sound coming from the converter is this normal

I don't have any off your equipment but I didn't think there was a fan in either the battery or the 12/24 volt converter normally used. Are you using a 120 volt inverter to power the regular power supply?

Ah! That converter does indeed have a fan, unlike the ResMed converter that is fanless. It might only run if the humidifier is used, but this would probably limit runtime to only a few hours. Unfortunately the fan uses power, and also implies heat is generated - both will reduce the battery runtime. If you're planning to use this for a full night, definitely do a trial run at home first to see if the battery lasts. If the fan sound is too annoying, try the ResMed converter which is silent.

Here is the link for the Resmed converter for the S9. You may need to adapt the 10 volt lighter plug end to fit the Freedom battery.
