The most obvious thing to look for - as already stated - is whether the mask is venting properly.

If that's not the problem, perhaps your settings need adjustment. You have a machine that generates stats, so I suggest that you analyze your sleep on Sleepyhead.

BTW, although you did not list your gender, I assume that you are a woman based on the mask that you're using. If your issue turns out to be one with the mask, do not be overly worried about gender specificity in your mask.

I was reading that one cause of chronic migraine with CPAP is that I may not need continuous high pressure and possibly a BiPap would be needed. Or a CPAP without fixed pressure at 90% all night long.I remember during the sleep study I could not get the pressure high enough as I have asthma and kept feeling suffocated until we got to level 9 and left it there. Then I may need a change in mask. I am a side sleeper, need to sleep on my side and the nasal pillow was causing me to sleep on my back. I did look up the pillows that help with CPAP users who side sleep, and will also look into the neck brace as well.

Yes, I am female, thought I checked that box under profile, will check again.

Still waiting for my sleep doc to respond. I see he has already picked up message.

Today is day 6 without CPAP and no morning headache with nausea and muscle issues. I feel just fine today again.

Thank you for your interest and response, appreciate that !!

It's not a 'neck brace' which you'd use e.g. for whiplash. It's much smaller, softer and comes in diff. sizes from the drugstore.

Just got a new mask frame last week and used it one day and then woke with the same morning headache and nausea followed by feeling unwell until mid day until it wore off. Later on that day followed by migraine with aura. Same cycle.

Thank you for your suggestion.

Now wondering if it's the pressure, not enough to clear the CO2?

Jo
A pressure of 4 vents 20 liters (five gallons) of air per minute. the vent rate goes up to around 50 liters of air per minute at a pressure of 20. in between numbers are in the back of the mask manual.
