and read up on CSR...it's all explained in the manual with some good examples.

I would need to see whatever it was that got flagged as CSR before I would start worrying.
The machine will often flag CSR and it be nothing like real Cheyne Stokes Respiration.
CSR in large numbers (and 3 isn't anywhere near large) that is real could mean some potential heart issues that need to be ruled out.

Just because the machine flags it doesn't make it real and even if real it doesn't necessarily mean something bad is going on.

Those aren't classic CSR...not enough of a flat line between them but close enough that I would bring this to the attention of the doctor.
Let him decide if real or not or if he wants to do anything about them at this time other than watch them.

The doctor would want his own software report though. Most likely ResScan. Won't do you much good to give him a copy of SleepyHead results. Most doctors don't know about SleepyHead and if they don't know about it won't trust it.

When is the follow up appointment scheduled?

We see our primary care physician in 2 weeks. We also see the cardiologist in May. Husband was diagnosed with atrial fib last fall and the doctors are now figuring it may have started from the apnea. We see the respiratory therapist (DME provider) again in 2 weeks.

Okay...that's good to know...follow up relatively soon with a doctor. We can live with that.
The DME or equipment supplier appointment...unless they have a doctor on board there...I don't hold out much for that input because the real doctor needs to be involved.
Maybe where you live, since you aren't in the US, the suppliers have more freedom but here in the US the DMEs can't really do much without a doctors okay.

Do you wish to get ResScan to be better prepared? I can help with it but it's Windows only software. Let me know if you want it.

Just print out a few of the screen shots, and take the SD card with you or a copy of the files from the SD card on a USB memory stick. But, you might want to check ahead of time to see if the doctor has the software to read the files. Sleep specialist probably will, but suspect a cardiologist may not.

Respiratory Therapists adjust/manage CPAP settings up here. Once you get the prescription for the CPAP, they do all the rest. Our primary care doctor doesn't even give a range for pressures.

I'm from Alberta too, and know what you are dealing with. You need to see a real doctor about the CSR issue, not one of these so called Respiratory Therapists. The one I saw told me that a CPAP would cure my diabetes. OK... Sure it will...

The cardiologist in May should be familiar with Cheyne Stokes Respiration (if that is what we are seeing here) and be able to offer input on how critical it might or might not be.
If that doctor doesn't have the necessary software to generate the needed reports the equipment supplier should be able to provide any additional software reports that a doctor doesn't have.

I know some docs think that Sleepyhead is the greatest thing since sliced bread and others won't even bother looking at it and only will look at the name brand software.

FWIW - Pugsy is the resident expert here (among others) and has been for yrs, Ron showed up a couple of wks (if that) ago and has made various bloopers... plse don't pay too much attn there!

CSR Cheyne-Stokes Breathing Central Sleep Apnea (regular increase and decrease in flow rate)

There are likely multiple pattern of CSR. Some are flagged as CSR, some are not.

If the time of such central apnea are not too long I would not worry to much. Also your body needs to adapt to the new CPAP environment.

For me my OA's, in the sleep study (not using CPAP) changed to CA using APAP and some of them show repeated patterns.

If they persist after a few month I would try other XPAP machines.
