Re: dreamTAP oral Sleep Apnea Device

Some have reported similar devices contributing to TMJ, so anyone with a predisposition to TMJ would likely not be eligible. Further, anyone using a device would need to pay careful attention to any mouth changes. TMJ can be very painful. A colleague had it. She would often moan quietly in pain. He...

Re: WTH My cat bit holes into the CPAP tubing

Train the cat. You know the old story about a cat jumping on a hot stove........one and only time it did that. You need to figure out some "consequence" for the cat to prevent it from doing damage to your equipment. Den . Since Tabitha still gets in my face and attempts to gnaw my P10 short hose no...

Re: WTH My cat bit holes into the CPAP tubing

Re: cleaning regiment

Answers will vary greatly, but honestly washing the mask with soap and water once a week is sufficient for most folks. I wipe mine down with a tissue every morning, wash it once every week or so, and I never wash my hose.

Re: Best CPAP cleaning machine?

Headgear only needs to be washed if it's visibly soiled or feeling a bit loose. Think roughly once a month. (unless your hair is really nasty) Some folks throw it in with their laundry and then air dry it.

Re: Why is my mask coming off in the middle of the night?

I wonder if the weight of the bath towel tugged on the mask and either slid it off or caused you to become uncomfortable enough to pull it off in your sleep?

Re: My cat turned my CPAP off

My daughter had a cat several years ago that was part Maine Coon. He was rather large, and would stand on my chest every morning and stare at me until I opened my eyes. Once I did, he would meow once, jump off the bed and head for his food bowl to be fed. I was the only one he would do this to. We ...

Re: How long for Auto-off to turn CPAP off?

Respironics machines take a full 60 seconds to turn off automatically...and it's a long 60 seconds it seems like in the middle of the night. I use the auto on all the time but I prefer to push the button for turning it off. It doesn't hurt anything to let it blow but it can be noisy and bed partner...

Re: My cat turned my CPAP off

My cat is always trying to lay on the hose, so I'm trying to train her to sleep on the other side of me. So far she's been fighting me on this. lol Your cat just posted on another forum that you have been fighting her attempts to train you to leave her alone when she lies on the hose. They are ALL ...

Re: Best CPAP cleaning machine?

Hi Everyone! What's the best CPAP cleaning machine to get? I know it's easy to clean without one but I'm lazy... Thanks! Bill Too lazy to wipe off the mask in the a.m. and refill the reservoir?! That's LITERALLY all I've ever done. I wipe off the facial oils in the morning (or before bed if I'm *to...

Re: how do i protect hose from a kitten

OP, you've gotten lots of great suggestions already. May I further suggest a small roll of pretty duct tape, in case either a) punctures have already happened, or b) smartypants Cali-co works her way around the hose cozy? I have three (soon to be four) cats myself, but it was my eldest that decided ...
