Let's see if the cervical collar helps...and yeah, lower EPAP minimum back to 10 because it isn't helping being higher and it's causing worse aerophagia.

And yeah...sticker shock on the air beds....like the Sleep Number of which I happen to own one but I got it on a Black Friday sale at 50% off or I wouldn't have been able to do it. I have never regretted getting it though.

If the cervical collar doesn't help I have a couple of ideas that might help you sort of sleep on your side that won't kill your back or your wallet.
Let's try one thing at a time and see if we get lucky with easy first.

It appears the Cervical collar might not be the answer. Here is what my night looked like with EPAP running at 10, cervical collar installed, head of bed raised so that the top of the bed was up approximately 18 inches.

Finally, I don't know if this comes in to play or not, but I have lost approximately 45lbs this year. I had started the year engaged in a heavy body building style weight training routine with rest days between body part exercises and a minimum of 30 minutes of aerobics 6 days a week. This, along with food portion limitations resulted in my loosing 27lbs prior to the health issues starting. The rest of the weight loss was the health issues, 7 days of no food intake at all, then slow introduction to liquids and finally solids. I'm now sitting at the weight I spent most of my military career at. That said, it's obvious my muscle mass is a fair bit lower than it was back then, so I'm still probably 20lbs or so overweight.

Damn...I was so hoping that would help at least a little.

Is there any way you can sleep for at least part of the night on your side or half way on your side to let us see just how much sleeping position may play a part in what is going on? I realize it won't like be able to be done all night right now but before working hard on position changes I was wondering just how much it might help.
I have an idea that might help with the back discomfort you might get ...something I have done that helps me with my back issues when I can't move around as much as I need to for discomfort relief.
It involves a little expense but nothing like a new air bed expense.

I wonder what would happen if you put in the resmed asv auto defaults for a night:

ASVAuto default settings
Only four therapy parameters to set
Min EPAP 4 cm H2O
Max EPAP 15 cm H2O
Min PS 3 cm H2O
Max PS 15 cm H2O
Ramp OFF

Things are improving to where I can sleep on my side now for the most part, and my numbers and more importantly sleep quality are improving rapidly. Monday I had to go in for one more Stent in my Heart as he didn't want to do the arteries on both sides at the same time. My follow up for this stent was interrupted by the colon removal. Monday night my AHI was down to 2.97 but for some reason the sleep quality wasn't all that good. Last night, came in at a slightly higher 6.97 but I slept better than I have at any time in the last month. This was with my machine set back to the ASV defaults as recommended. Feels good. Still not sure why sleeping on my back is such a no no now. It used to kick my numbers up some, but not to the extent it does now.

As a side note, trying out the different bed put the wife in a definite replace the current bed mode. She has never been particularly fond of the current one. Fortunately I finally got around to doing the taxes, which came out better than we'd hoped so the new bed is on order. Hopefully it will help when I go in for the follow up surgery to put things back to as close to original as possible when it comes to the intestines.

Last nights charts attached.

That's what happens when you tempt a woman. Give them any excuse to get something new and they hop on it.

Tax refund...what's that??? I about had a coronary when I saw the size of the check I get to write. I could just about buy a brand new Sleep Number king size bed with it. I am still bitching about it...as you can tell.

Glad things are looking up for you in the sleep department and OSA therapy department. I have been wondering how you have been doing.
