Congratulations! We have to give you an “A” for being persistent and not accepting crappy medical treatment from the medical professionals. Your experience really shows that each of us has to take charge of our own care. Of course, not everyone has a Pugsy to guide them. EarlBarb (Seattle) wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:24 pm..... To say I'm absolutely THRILLED with what has happened is an understatement. Thank you thank you thank you thank you to everyone on here who has helped me.
and listened to my complaining and $##$ching thank you Pugsy for loaning me the machine <3 <3

Brilliant just goes to show what the correct machine can do, the S9 is working hard at encouraging you to keep you breathing. I hope you sleep quality is improving now you need to think about your next steps we have proved at this point the correct ASV machine can control your issues.

now...to get Medicare to cover it in 6 months. maybe lol
so next problem. its not 12 v capable evidently. we CAN use an inverter in the motorhome I guess...according to my husband.
my Dreamstation is 12 v already I guess.

The ResMed converter is generally more efficient than an inverter but it is not worth purchasing one for a temporary machine.Barb (Seattle) wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 8:43 amnow...to get Medicare to cover it in 6 months. maybe lol

Inverters are a bad idea. Use the resmed 12v cord.Barb (Seattle) wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 8:43 amnow...to get Medicare to cover it in 6 months. maybe lol

Re: So...can't wait till Friday
Are we getting a little spoiled yet?
Now you see why I loved this machine...not only did I get great "numbers" I actually slept quite well with it.
I have always slept better/longer on bilevel than non bilevel. It gave me the best chance of feeling the good numbers considering the other stuff I have going on unrelated to sleep apnea.
You could always use your PR S1 760 in the RV but somehow I don't think you are going to want to.
And should Medicare buy you a machine...don't let it be the Resprionics ASV....stick with ResMed ASV...either the S9 Adapt or the AirCurve 10 ASV. I think the ResMed algorithm would work better for you.
I have no idea what the inverters in a RV would do...but if I was going to be using the ResMed I would spring for the real name brand converter.
I don't know how efficient that inverter in your RV is ....that stuff causes my eyes to glaze over but don't go buying anything until you decide on a machine for sure. I would suggest doing a trial run at home parked in the driveway one night to see how you do.

However, the 12v cord for the s9 asv is different from the 12v cord for the aircurve10 asv... which is what you're more likely to end up with.Barb (Seattle) wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 3:49 pmit is not temporary..it's a loaner but this is the machine I need to use

That is why I said don't buy anything just yet...
To Barb....
unless you decide that the S9 can be a travel/back up machine when/if you ever get a machine that Medicare pays for.
I am assuming you want to go RVing sometimes between now and your 65 birthday.
I would try the RV inverter thing with the S9 in the driveway...and see if anything bad happens...like dead battery because the S9 sucked all the life out of it.

Re: So...can't wait till Friday
Indeed, just reinforcing the idea, and an idea why
That's the problem with inverters, they take like twice the juice out of the battery that the 12v adapter cords do.
