I'll also do the report from Jan 5....it shows it being Friday Jan 5? is that the right one you want?
Yes...as long as it is auto mode and not fixed and with a bit of a range in available EPAP.
Like EPAP min of 6 or 8 and IPAP max available up in the mid teens. Just wanted to see where it wanted to go for the obstructive stuff.
Don't really care so much about PS at this point.
I just want to get a feel for how much EPAP you need for the obstructive stuff...get the ASV set in the ball park for minimum EPAP that is close to what you need. Can't be exact because 2 different brands and 2 different algorithms...but something to get me close to start with.

will do. so...question about PS. isn't that what an ASV machine does? pressure support? or is this different?

Well...sort of...yes we use PS to treat the centrals but your current machine can't go high enough fast enough with the PS changes to help out with centrals.
Now sometimes a little PS on your type of machine will help centrals...sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it actually can make them worse in rare situations.

Think of the PS on the ASV as being beefed up and on steroids compared to what your current machine has.
All gets a bit complicated and I will explain later. Off to take my mom for her Chemo today.

Odd that your centrals are clustered more than spread out over the night. Makes me wonder why....oh well...that's for another time.
I have what I need though...an idea where to start EPAP minimum. Thanks.
Something very similar to what I was using when I was playing with this machine.
It's a close starting point and that's all I needed. I don't expect to nail it immediately...that's why titration sleep studies can take all night to play we the settings and we have to do it night by night instead of minute by minute.

Gotta run...or we will be late.

Odd turn of events. I finally pushed hard enough and they gave me an answer about what happened in my latest sleep study.

they DID try ASV...and I got better results from the bipap. They backed it off of ASV and went back.

they catch? the best setting for my apneas was......23/19. they told me to start with 22/18 and see what happens.

I know what happened the other night when I did try that setting...I had gas galore lol

but, after my study...I felt pretty good...for only sleeping 6 hours or so I felt good. I don't remember feeling bloated either.

we'll get this figured out eventually....sigh

I guess we better rule in or out the chances of some of those centrals being SWJ.
Let's see what the report tomorrow looks like and how your belly feels.
I hadn't worried to much about it because they wouldn't be talking ASV at all if they weren't real.

I got sick at my mom's therapy today and I feel like crap....will get back with you later.

numbers from a nap.

pressure 22/18. so far, not much gas. I realize it's just a nap. I seem to want to obsessively check numbers

doesn't really seem much different than any other chart I've had in the last year. *shrug*

Go back to the whole night....
Go to Events tab...then the ClearAirway tab.....and open up the long list of CAs.
Scroll down the list until you see one timed around 02:45 and click on it...the graphs on the right side will change so they are zoomed in real close...get me a snap shot at that level of zooming in on that detailed report. There should be a couple of other CAs most likely get included in the image with you clicking on one around 2:45.

Oh...I don't think you can do anything about military time...the time is coming from your machine and you don't have a clock that you can get to and change it.
It comes from the factory like that.
I don't think we can change it in Sleepyhead unless I am missing something which is possible since I am not at my best.

Well the first 2 look real or more real than the last 2.
See that little tiny blip on the last 2 right before the CA flag?....that might be a respiratory effort...but a very small one and if it was...it's not likely a central. Might be a post arousal thing..
Doesn't look like CSR and of course the machine isn't flagging it either.

How do you feel you are sleeping and how do you feel during the day?
If you couldn't see the numbers at all...how do you feel?
