Re: UARS but normal AHI RDI but Many spontaneous arousals
People don't want to admit that the sleep maintenance insomnia monster has set up residence in their body. Instead they want to blame UARS or "cpap not working" or whatever because they want a quick fix instead of doing to work to try to fix the problem.......and people....trust me....I personally ...

Re: Dreamwear for dry-eyes patients
Would you share where your purchased the the eye goggles? I am thinking about getting something from the Dry Eye Shop. I used their Tranquileyes years ago for another problem, but that particular product doesn't work for me with keeping air completely out of my eyes at night. Thanks!

Re: OT:::::Medicare Advantage plans "are taking over Medicare and they are taking advantage of elderly patients,"
Ever notice those who claim to be "way ahead" or "be happy" never volunteer what MA plan they are using? And IMHO IF you travel an HMO type plan is not the one to have. Of course I don't like an HMO even when not traveling. Didn't know that mentioning the plan was needed but here ya go since it see...

Re: OT:::::Medicare Advantage plans "are taking over Medicare and they are taking advantage of elderly patients,"
I used to be case manager at a major hospital chain and i always recommend patients to switch to traditional medicare. Adantage only takes your advantage as a patient and pays for nothing. Yash B Well, that hasn't been my husband's experience for the last five years or my experince this year (first...

Re: OT:::::Medicare Advantage plans "are taking over Medicare and they are taking advantage of elderly patients,"
My husband has been on two different medicare advantage plans over the last five years, just switching to the second one for this year. He had no problems at all switching during the designated change period and has been happy with what is covered. This is my first year on a Medicare advantage plan ...

Re: CPAP during COVID infection
Having recently recovered from covid and rebound covid, I used my machine every night. I have been fully vaccinated so it wasn’t as bad. I have very low AHI and saw it nudged up a bit during the few bad days and was thankful I was using the machine. I'm in the middle of rebound right now, and it's ...

Re: For Sale: New Dreamstation 2 Auto CPAP Advanced - $400
If you haven't sold it yet, I know of someone on a FB sleep apnea group that is desperate to get one. I can send her this way if you still have it. (Oh, for some reason the images are not showing for me, but you may have removed them since it's a been a few days.)

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I have a System One 60 and they said it cannot be replaced or refurbished so offered me $50 for it. Philips was not going to repair and refurbish older systems one devices as they are over 5 years old and past their normal lifespan. The option to accept $50 for the system one 560 or $25 for the 550...

Power Bricks & Heated Tubing for D21 and DS2
. I received my new DS2 and a refurbished DS1 as replacements for my System One 60 and System One 50 machines. The replacement machines came with unheated tubing. My husband, on the other hand, received replacements for DS1 machines that did have heated tubing, so he received heated hoses with his r...

Thanks so much, Miss Emerita, for the information and the link. Great stuff at that link, and see there that my over-60 age works for that range as well.

Re: Denting My Hair, Creasing Hair
I have long hair. I pull as much of my hair out from under the straps that I can to avoid creases there, but I still get them at the top in the back and on top on the sides. I once tried wearing something on my head underneath the straps, but my head got too hot and uncomfortable. Currently just usi...

Respiratory Rate - Too High?
Wondering if my respiratory rate is too high (see image). It's like this all the time. Even though my AHI has always been great, I have always felt extremely tired every morning and wake up a lot. (Started xPAP therapy about 16 years ago.) Sleep doc--although really nice and knowledgable most of the...

Re: Suggestion for clock change this weekend
Who sets an alarm for Sunday morning? Our dogs are the 'alarm clocks' in our house and they care very little for what the clock says, even less for DST. One of the many advantages to being retired. Some folks do go to Sunday school and/or church on Sundays. And this Sunday for us will be extra earl...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I have a System One 60 and they said it cannot be replaced or refurbished so offered me $50 for it.Seems like they are picking and choosing who to scam? In January 9, 2021 I let my wife use it one night cause she had Covid pneumonia and was hospitalized from Sunday to Wednesday the 13 and came out ...
