Where do you put your machine?
Re: Where do you put your machine?
I put mine on my bass amplifier. I'm a musician. My bass amp IS my night stand.
My wife's sits on her regular nightstand. We've talked about building a matching custom set. I need a small amp in my bedroom, and it would be good to have something integrated into normal looking furniture. And I'd love to have the CPAP stuff hidden when we're not using it.

Re: Where do you put your machine?
I would not worry about this unless and until you experience rainout. If that happens, you should put the machine lower than your head. However, I would avoid the floor because dust accumulates there. Best bet is a low stand.
Re: Where do you put your machine?
Thanks so much for the replies. Last night was my first try at using the nightstand (lower than my bed). It helped a lot with the pulling I was getting coming from the floor. I slept much better than usual not fighting the hose.

Re: Where do you put your machine?
Have it on nightstand now (only an inch or two lower than mattress) but will be switching to my old nightstand which has a lower shelf with an open back. It will go in the lower shelf. I too have a problem with not enough space for lamp, clock and cpap which change of nightstand will resolve (requires rearranging the bedroom, which is why I haven't done it already).
If you want to hide everything, there have been some great ideas on this board. A pull-out drawer with an insert to keep your machine level (water in humidifier, you know) and a hole in the back for the wires seems a really easy to manage system. Not sure about the hose stand since I don't have one yet.

This is an older photo. I don't have the zeo anymore. But the cabinet is the same.

Re: Where do you put your machine?
LSAT I love the cpap cabinet. How great to have the water right there too.
Thanks for the photo zoocrew. Nice to able to put it all away in the drawer. I was keeping mine on the floor, and scooted it under the bed since day 1.
I've only been getting 1-4 hours of cpap time so I had to make a change.

Re: Where do you put your machine?
Started out with mine on night stand, just recently tried putting it on the floor due to the light when I get up at 4am, gotta let the wife sleep. I haven't had any trouble with it on the floor, I didn't have any trouble on the night stand either...just a personal preference. What ever works for you....

Re: Where do you put your machine?
I put it on the shelf of my bedside table (see my user photo). I've also put it on the floor, but the HVAC was blowing on it and I think that messed up the filters more often. When I'm traveling I put it within reach, usually on the floor. I never liked it on top of the bedside table, it was too easy to hear and I wanted other things up there within reach.

Re: Where do you put your machine?
I travel a lot so my machine usually ends up on the floor. To provide a bit of a barrier against the dust bunnies I carry a Sil Eco liner and put the machine on it. My thought is that if my humidifier malfunctions, the Sil Eco sheet will provide some thermal protection to the rug.

Re: Where do you put your machine?
None of the above. I bought a small shelf that attaches to the side rail of the bed. It was like $20 on amazon. Keeps it just slightly lower than my head, perfect size for my machine.
