Where do you put your machine?

Floor or nightstand?

I keep my machine in the nightstand drawer. When running the drawer is open just enough to let the hose out. Very quiet.

I have mine on top of nightstand

Mine is on my nightstand, but when I used humidity I had to keep it lower to avoid rainout.

On my bedside table. It's about level to the bed.

I try never to put my machine on the floor because it feel that it is more likely to entrain dust or debris there. At home I keep it on an antique luggage rack that is a bit lower than my mattress. When I travel with the machine i always use some sort of table , or even pull up a plain chair and place the machine on the seat. I use an insulated fiberfill sleeve on the hose to prevent rainout. I don't use or like heated hoses.

I was wondering the same thing. I just got my machine today and put it a table slightly lower than my mattress. I wanted to put it in my nightstand but was concerned about airflow.

On top of my nightstand, which is just slightly lower than my mattress. I use a heated hose and besides, it's easier to reach the controls this way.

My manual (I read manuals. Whether for complicated cameras, wearable tech devices, or decoders for my sound-emitting model trains and their control systems...I read 'em. Amazing what them engineers try to tell us about our investments!) advised me to place my machine close by, on a clean, uncluttered and stable surface where I could get a good use of the hose's intended range regardless of which side of my body on which I rested. It further cautioned not to place anything near the intake filter cover because, well....obviously.....

I can't say placing the unit inside a mostly closed drawer is a bad idea per se, but I would not do it.

Mine is in the middle drawer of a bedside cabinet. When using the machine, the drawer is open with plenty of air and buttons easy to access. The machine is also stable, can't be toppled over, etc. During the day, the drawer is shut, so the machine stays protected. I keep the mask in the top drawer during the day. And my spare supplies are in the larger bottom drawer.

Neither, Dream Station instructions said lower than bed so I put it on an upside down plastic container that is lower than the bed.

Can you guys post pics? I still want to find a way to hide it. I have a nightstand but I dont like the clutter so I pushed it out and put a tall plant stand sort of table right next to my bed for it to sit on. That way I can reach over to my nightstand for my glasses or whatever. I also put a sturdy shelf above the nightstand that I bring the machine up to when I dont use it. Ill take a pic later. I do want to hide it more during the day though. Its a challenge because I have to tie up the hose above my head so it doesnt bug me or get tangled and I dont feel like untying it every morning.

If you have rainout in the hose, placing the machine slightly lower than the mattress will help the rainout flow harmlessly back into the humidifier tank instead of your face. This machine position also helps reduce the fan noise reaching your ears.

If neither of those issues are a concern for you, placing the machine on the nightstand is fine. Just don't place it where a HVAC vent is blowing directly on it.

BTW, I kept my machine below the level of the mattress for years. Recently, we did some rearranging in the bedroom. I tried placing the machine on the nightstand. It works fine for me. I actually like the low sound of the fan.

My wife and I both use CPAP nightstands. The machine sits on a slide-out shelf behind closed doors. There is a shelf below the pull-out shelf for small items. There is room in the bottom of the nightstands to store water. We keep water (up to six gallons) in my nightstand and keep the spare machine and carrying cases for our machines in her nightstand.
