New CPAP Hose, Will it Change my cm Settings?

I tried to search but way to many threads came up.

I received my new long hose and when it arrives I see the hose is larger with the inner diameter compared to my stock Resmed one.

Is this changing my 4cm-12cm capacity when going to the short hose that has the stock Resmed diameter that is smaller. The new hose is a little longer than the stock by about 6".

I appreciate any info and if anyone else bought a CPAP Hose online that is like this and use it.

In the clinical manual for the S9 there is a setting for Slimline Hose, Standard Hose and Climateline Hose. It sounds like you have the standard Hose. You should check to see what the setting is on your machine. It makes a small difference in the pressure.

Thank you, I switched it to standard. The S9 only let me choose between Slimline and Standard. I also have the heated hose but haven't really needed it so took it off. I appreciate your reply!

The heated hoses, since they've got an electrical connection, tell the machine what size hose it is, and that gets set automatically... It's just the regular hoses that have to have the size set manually.

That's good info. I guess I was leaning that way with heated hose with the connection attached when it didn't come up with the other two. Thank you!
