Would I be wrong assuming/presuming...
that experimenting with my AutosetSet will afford me at least a ballpark idea of what my ideal CM #'s are since I was unable to get a copy of my sleep clinic results this past Dec 30. I mean sure I have the numbers my DME set me up with based on my Dr's prescription but curiosity drives me to confirm. My machine was preset at 4CM and 8CM. I'm sure the low number was default rather than intentionally chosen. Admittedly I've played with those a few times going higher and only once managed to inflate my stomach up like a five dollar balloon! Aerophagia that hurt for several hours. I've been content since then to live with things as they are but am now ready to get curious again. My idea this time is to at least temporarily turn the CPAP off and autoset function on and let the machine determine things based on need. I'm assuming/presuming it will accomplish that. In fact, so much so that I believe it should be at least similar or within a few mm of what was determined during the sleep clinic that led to the Dr's prescription #'s. But of course I also know a little bit of knowledge, least in my case specifically, can be counterintuitive. I'm not worried about the Dr finding out as he will forgive me a night or two's experimentation. Basically I'm just curious if my conceptualization skills are accurate with regards to if the latest/greatest 'auto' machine can or will closely or loosely corroborate the numbers I've been given if left to its internal reckoning.

If you're gonna be a dog, why intentionally choose Chihuahua!?!

CPAP function is a fixed perssure...The Auto function would have a minimum and maximum pressure setting. If your machine is set to 4/8 it must already be on Auto. Default setting would be 4/20. If you want a copy of your sleep report, the Doctor is required by law to give it to you. Did you ask?salinas212 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 4:48 pmthat experimenting with my AutosetSet will afford me at least a ballpark idea of what my ideal CM #'s are since I was unable to get a copy of my sleep clinic results this past Dec 30.
