Lori, Anybody who reads this message board much can't easily miss the fact that interface choices and preferences are really idiosyncratic -- that's why I requested such specific information. Thanks for the detailed response! (Not sure where I'm headed next with headgear. Maybe just trying to stabil...

Lori, thanks for keeping us updated on your Aura experience. Would be interested to read how you feel about it after a few weeks. In the meantime, could you provide a bit more information on it please? 1. Where is the CO2 vent? In what direction does it point? And how does it compare in noise to the...

Wow! Just like a Canadian. Kuwait $500MIL Saudi Arabia $250MIL Even India gave a few Million. Canada----a big fat ZERO The US is the richest nation in the world: It should not need or expect foreign aid from a relatively small economy such as Canada's to deal with consequences of Katrina. Half a bi...

I'm a big fan of NasalCrom, the over the counter mast cell stabilizer nasal spray. It has to be used several times/day for a week or so before it kicks in, but it keeps my nose unstuffed. Probably not the whole answer for you, but it might be a useful extra boost. You might also want to consider one...

Gailzee - I've had lots of migraines longer than two weeks. But the better my sleep is and the more sleep I get, the less migraine I tend to have, so at times I think CPAP is helping. Might be a good idea to see a headache specialist if you haven't done that yet. Are your migraines frequent (e.g. 15...

Re: Is a longer hose better?
I was wondering if there's any difference in pressure or settings when switching from a 6' to a 10' hose. I just ordered a 10 footer from cpap.com a few minutes ago. Their blurb about it indicated that there is only a negligible reduction in pressure with a 10' hose. And given that cpap.com seems t...

Yes it was theTAS board. Checked out the various positive comments about freestyle on talk about sleep today. I've been tempted to try adding a thin layer of silicone bathtub caulk to nasal do-dads that aren't quite large enough. Or maybe use the caulk or something similar to glue on a thin layer o...

another thing they seem to talk about is Innomed's willingness to provide you a different size at no cost if it was sized wrong the first time. Please keep us posted. Was that thread at Talkingaboutsleep? Perhaps, because the prongs are not connected, one can choose a different size for each nostri...

Think any opiate, not just fentanyl, could have a similar effect. After all, breathing cessation is how those drugs kill in overdose situation. Fentanyl may be particularly dangerous that way, however, as heat makes the patch medication enter the body more quickly. Sleeping conditions may therefore ...

Re: Freestyle
I noticed on the other boards people talking aobut the new Freestyle from Innomed. What's the gist of opinion on other boards? Are there people there who say it works well for them? I think the Freestyle was a product that got taken back to the drawing board after it was release, tinkered with and ...

Thats what I need a drug to address. I'm sorry for preaching at you a bit, but I've had a lot of problems with intense anxiety and even panic attacks and know what a trap it can be to rely on drugs to deal with them. It can make the problems worse rather than better over the long run because using ...

Now I am afraid to touch the ambien. what do I do??? Seems like the great majority of people don't have a problem with it, but there's always that risk. If you haven't have substance abuse problems in the past, it seems like a pretty good deal. Ambien can be quite a knock-out drug for those who are...
