I think I'm feeling better...

Post by tonimari98 » Fri Feb 25, 2005 1:56 pm

I think this hose thing is working. I don't really have all that much energy during the day, But in the mornings when I wake up I don't feel like someone was up all night beating me a with a bat. I remember feeling so groggy in the mornings, my body hurt to move and that is gone. My morning headachs are gone. I used to get out of bed and hardly be able to walk...that has changed. In the mornings I wake up and although I want to continue sleeping, I get out of bed and nothing hurts. that is a definate improvement. I do wish that I had made a record of how I felt before I got my CPAP...it would be great to look at that and really see the difference. I know I still have a ways to go to feeling 100% Becuase that burst of energy has yet to pay me a visit...at least I know (think) it's on its way.
All I wanna do is get some sleep sleep sleep...

Unfortunately, everyone is different. Some people see immediate improvement, some people take a long time. As long as you know it is improving, hang in there.

That's good news tonimari98
Celebrate the little successes and over time they will add up. I never got the sudden improvement some do, but a gradual improvement over several weeks until it dawned on me that I was feeling a whole lot better.
Keep at it & good luck

Excellent news! You sound so much brighter than your earlier posts. The same thing has happened with me. After nearly three weeks, although I'm still dog tired all day and wish I could go on sleeping in the morning I've noticed that I feel like I've actually slept when I wake up. I've even started to stretch in bed. Haven't done that for years.

I only really noticed the change after I slept without the mask the night before last for the first time since starting. Woke up in a huge leak with the nasal pillows half pulled out, tugged the thing off and went back to sleep.
Boy I won't do that again. The next morning I felt like my head was in a vice and it took every ounce of willpower to get up for work. The thing is this feeling was so familiar, this is how I was EVERY morning before cpap. I hadn't noticed the gradual change!

This morning after being on cpap last night, getting up was only horrible rather than vicious!

Guess we've just got to keep compliant with the therapy and pay off our sleep debt.

So pleased for you!
