Hey I was wondering how do I see my ahi levels on the dreamstation machine? I'm only seeing hours used.

Also i was wondering how to check if they setup the machine properly. I've added my equipment to the profile. Ty for the help.

You have to go into the clinical menu setup area and change a setting to On.
I think it is "Show AHI"...the default is for "off" change it to "on".
If you don't know how to get into the clinical setup menu area get the manual and it will explain it.
You can request the manual here.

sorry you have had a bad experience with your DME provider. I work DME and I am licensed to work in two states (RT). Your DME was correct MA (Medicaid) does not cover heated tubing. And there is no HCPCS code for an apap. It bills the same as a cpap ( E0601 ). So they switched units only to make you happy.
If you need further assistance...questions or concerns, I'd be glad to help.

Actually I just received the authorization letter in mail today. It says non heated humidifier with heated tube. Instead dme gave me heated humidifier with non heated tube. Which is better?
the heated humidifier is what you need, the heated tube is optional. You can make adjustments for humidification issues if and as they arise.

Unless you're ether experiencing "rainout" or feel the output of the humidifier is inadequate (at max setting), you can use a standard (i.e. non-heated) hose. If you experience either of these, you'll want to switch to the heated hose.

Or you can just follow the rules of Mother Nature, she know's you can only get so much water into the air before you get rain. Maybe if she would put lightning into more XPAP hoses we would have less XPAP users that drown. Jim
