Wonder if straps on the mask are pressing on some sort of nerve causing the headache??
Or maybe position of the head and neck relative to bed pillow??
Any history of neck injury or neck problems?
I keep mask pretty loose with no pressure spots. The headache literally started in first hour of sleep study and other day when i didn't use ramp and it actually gave me the full 10cm i got a headache almost immediately.

No neck injuries . Have been getting muscle spasms on back and chest muscles for a while which can be very painful but doubt it's related.

Good news is didn't get woken up by chipmunk cheeks or air coming out of my mouth.

Bad news is i know air must of been coming out of mouth. Severe dry mouth last night. Like there was no moisture at all left in my mouth.

Not to mention 02 levels were bad again last night.

Have you tried using a full face mask for a night? Air blowing out of your mouth on exhalation may have some effect on your therapy. Worth a shot if you have one laying around.

No unfortunately i don't. Last 2 nights i haven't been woken up which is good. Dry mouth last night wasn't as bad and oxygen was better too. Going go see if trend continues. I have pulmonology appointment next Wednesday

I just happened to look at your pulse oximeter recording (I couldn't see the image at work). That spike down to 80% SpO2 is an artifact, but you do have sustained desaturations at around 85% for at least a few minutes, around twice that night, that are highly unlikely explained by obstructive sleep apnea, and of course your looks levels look great.

Make sure you bring a few reports like that to your appointment next week. I would maybe buy a full face mask and return it for free within 30 days if it doesn't fix anything (since you said you notice air coming out of your mouth). You may ultimately be a good candidate for a bi-level machine, but let's wait to see what the doctor says. Ultimately, CPAP seems to be helping at least.

Till the lung appointment. the flex is dropping your min pressure down, I would raise my min pressure to 11, to allow for the 1cm flex, if that makes sense. you could even go 12
It got a bit low there for a while, over 90 is the goal.
The respiration rate chart looks like you stop breathing and it dips, they might be obstructions that don't last very long and not counted, you could also be mouth breathing and the machine picking this up?? Your rate is within normal but a bit high at 18

Last night was a lot better so I'm going to record 02 readings again tonight.

Great idea on bringing in reports too.

During my sleep study a pressure of 8 kept my 02 levels up but i had an AHI of 14 at that level which doesn't make sense and my provider was a little perplexed as well. However ajack you were right last time lol.

I'm trying not to make changes after warning i got from RT. But i do plan on seeing if the Dr at my upcoming appointment would be willing to prescribe Bipap or at least let me go back to auto function. Maybe 8 or 9 min with Max of 15.

bpap would be my choice, I'd like to see more tidal volumes and less rr per minute. It is also the choice for getting the co2 out and keeping o2 up.
at 10, most events are sorted, so the machine with the min set at 10, it will probably sit there all night in auto with max 15. but it will have room to move, if it needs to.

If you don't want to tread on toes, your o2 isn't that bad that it can't wait a few weeks.

Last night i had 1 rera and 2 hypopneas for an AHI of 0.27. I was under 88% for just under a minute but I think my average low was like 89% and it got down to around 80% at lowest.

Tidal volume was back up to 400 too. More dry mouth last night. I did wake up a couple times hearing small amounts of air coming out mouth.

It's probably time for a full face mask. You may still get a dry mouth, but you won't lose treatment pressure, while you mouth breathe.
Under 88 for 1 minute isn't an issue, As you know the o2 good enough for now.

Overall numbers are great still. May have to move to the full face mask. Going to see what pulmonologist says Wednesday. Getting lung function test right before I see her.

When I started oxygen I noticed my oxygen during day was a little better then before. Now with increased pressure my daytime 02 is doing even better.
