New with Wet Pillows

Post by Snorynomore » Thu Feb 15, 2018 10:47 pm

I have been lurking this board now for a while and decided to ask my question. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea last April and was pretty successful with my therapy up until this last October when I started to feel a sense of not being able to breath in or out through my machine. I realized this week that moisture was condensing around my nose pillows and clogging up the vents because when I wipe the vents I can go back to breathing.

Last night I changed the climate control to Auto on the Resmed and I had less condensation but it did wake me up once with suffocating feeling and was able to use for only 4 hours (much better than the 2 hours I've been able to use).

Because of this board, I now know how to change my own settings by going into medical section, and I downloaded sleepyhead app (but I can't make sense of most of information and what it means).

Any suggestions for completely eliminating the pillow condensation so I can use machine longer and not feel like I'm suffocating?

thank you!

You have several options. See this thread posts number 2 and 3 for what they are.

I have to use manual humidity and hose air temp during the winter months because my bedroom gets so cold. Setting to auto doesn't get the job done. I have the hose air maxed out at 86 degrees.
