I'm just afraid a newbie will read some of this nonsense and be afraid to use the ramp or to reset the ramp as it was intended. if the ramp was not intended to be used as a reset, it would not reset when the machine is running. Ramp Hater LOL...

If not for the ramp feature I doubt I'd have gotten over my claustrophobia when I started with cpap therapy. Even a nasal mask made me feel like I was suffocating, so the slow and gentle approach was the only way to go. And yes, I used the ramp feature as a reset whenever the claustrophobia would flare during the night.

It's been over five years now and I no longer use the ramp feature. But I'm glad its there, just in case :)

Beginners, sensitivities, or even post-surgical--all good reasons to use ramp.
